Well, I think when a studio is so enthusiastic about a project and their main, staple game (BF Series) shares a lot of similarities with material in question, EA could have done a lot worst than DICE.
As long as they respect the source material and only implement changes/updates when needed, I can see this new project being a nice progression of the Battlefront series.
Can't wait to see what they come up with.
I'm sure it's not ideal, but at the end of the day it could work to their advantage.
I never listened to alternative, but in graduate school I was able to download some Coldplay from my friends computer over the sheared network, now I'm a huge fan, purchasing their music and supporting them through concert attendance.
Now, I know the gaming industry business structure is different, I have also done the same with games. I purchased Fallout 3 used a...
Wondering is wind will play a role while sniping now. BF3 had bullet drop, but if you have to take into account wind now, that will add a whole other layer of skill to the already complex process.
I'm looking forward to see how DICE can leverage all the extra tech of the FB3 engine into their games going forward. Very cool.
Decent article. I really hope MS learned their lesson and I do hope that Sony uses their misfortune as a cautionary tale going forward.
There is such a thing as consumer confidence and once lost, it's very hard to get back.
I don't mind corporations protecting their investments, but they need to find a way to do it that doesn't infringe of peoples privacy and choice.
This shouldn't surprise anyone. Sony has a large stable of developers working for them, making exclusives a given.
The quality of games coming out was very high for the current generation, I would expect the same going forward.
That would be something. I wonder if they would go $50 or go to full $100. All speculation at this point.
The approach taken for TLOU is phenomenal. Gameplay is subjective, but the story ND has woven with this game is just great. This is a serious game that elicits real feelings. Definitely can't wait to see what comes next.
Looks fun. I haven't played a driving game since Burnout. Maybe it's time to begin looking forward to this.
Well, definitely no excuses anymore. Bring on the games.
Sounds interesting. What was once old, is new again, like the comeback of the 80s recently. This technology is def something to keep an eye on.
I agree with the statement, I think BF is an overall deeper game.
BTW, is the # of players in multiplayer on the "new" COD going to increase? I can't wait for 64 players on the PS4 version of BF4.
Awesome.
That's awesome, as long as they use that fact to further enhance the game, I'm okay with it.
Both games look like they will provide some decent innovation for the upcoming gaming cycle.
Awesome news. Open up my options for stealthy mayhem and use the touchpad to boot.
Hopefully they get their act together and release a new Fallout, that would be so awesome on next-gen hardware.
This guy's blood is really angered up, I love his spirit of controversy. Carry on sir, carry on.
If this is what the hoopla was about, then it was a bit silly. Basically listing a "feature" that really amounted to a demo. Would be interesting for this story to be confirmed or proven incorrect, probably never happen tho.
This could really turn the tide for innovation next gen. Making it possible for ideas that wouldn't see the light of day able to reach a wider audience.
Really cool!
Looks like there is a lot of tactical flexibility. A welcome change, definitely something to keep an eye on.
This would be cool. All the release madness will be done by Black Friday, allowing me to enjoy the system, as well as going out and shopping for the holidays.
I wouldn't say that E3 is the forum to really gauge the performance of MS or Sony. This was the big reveal of the consoles, the games were really secondary here with mostly concepts and topical demonstrations.

Now gamescon and the Tokyo Game Show will be were we really see the gloves come off. The launches will be closer, games will be in later stages of development and the secrecy surrounding many of the features, specs, etc. for both systems will be eased.
