My hero. It takes a child to teach us all a lesson. This young man = True gentleman.
DICE, DICE, DICE..... I hope they really learned from this. They are not doing a good job of justifying the value of their game with all of the bugs and issues they have had. I'm really worried about Star Wars Battlefront now.
In trying to maximize profits by releasing on multiple platforms, they have cut into their long-term profitability with upcoming projects. I for one will be approaching ANYTHING they do from now on with caution.
Amen brotha. DICE really shot themselves in the foot with BF4. Goes to show, sometimes rushing to market with an unfinished product is not the right course of action.
It sucks too, this game had some great potential.
EDIT: OT
I do agree with the review. Naval strike is flawed by the issue with the net code. Quite sad.
Seems great, particularly for a first attempt and presumably a demo unit. The cage shaking during the shark attack was a bit odd to mention as unless you had on a full body suit or you were inside some kind of sumulator, how would you recreate the shaking.
This all sounds phenomenal to me and if people temper their expectations to reality of this being a 200 to 300 dollar unit, it becomes very exciting.
I hope it works out and killer apps are developed for i...
100% agree with this statement, well said.
Looks cool, however, I didn't really see a lot of gameplay. Very nice they are trying something new, I wish them the best of luck.
Yea, from the tone of the article, it seems it might not be something positive.
Hope they finish off stronger than they started out.
I guess they were trying, so you have to give them credit for that.
Overall, I think that brand has been damaged to a large extent after the whole release fiasco. I will delay my purchase of their next game due to what has happened, as I'm sure many fans will and that is indeed a shame.
Hopefully they learned from what they did and provide a product that is more complete in the future.
Smoke and/or flash bang. Definitely might buy some time to get in there and set up shop by objective B.
I think people would use it to boost their stats. I remember those operation metro 24/7 servers, definitely a tragedy.
Looks great.
On an unrelated topic, Operation Metro is the worst with 64 people IMO. If you spawn in the tunnel, good luck getting up to the B objective. One of the worst maps in terms of balance.
They had so many other maps to choose from to bring over from BF3.
But I guess someone liked it. I do consistently get a massive amount of kills, so I guess that appeals to some.
Sorry about the rant.
Nice looking s...
I wonder why this couldn't be done on the X1. Serious question, wouldn't sky simulation be perfect for Clout Computing? Just seems strange that this would be omitted from the X1 version along with the lower resolution.
I'm interested in hearing any thoughts as to how/why this could happen.
They did a really good job. Certainly captured the essence, (At least from these static screenshots) of Seattle.
Seems like a beautiful town, planning on going to visit.
Also, the game looks great. The last two were thoroughly entertaining.
Well, the argument that they give about Journey would be valid if their price points were similar, but they are charging quite a bit for what essentially they have described as a tutorial.
I love the MGS universe and characters just as much as the next guy, but I think I might hold off on getting this until A) the price goes down or B) they release the inevitable GoTY edition with both Ground Zero and Phantom Pain on the same disk.
It will be interesting how ...
Thanks guys, at least for effort, lol. Seems cool overall.
Hopefully someone can leverage this technology into something awesome.
Have a great rest of the week.
Translation anyone?
No PS4 for Christmas for you buddy? No worries man, you keep saving and you'll have one in no time.
I wouldn't be surprised, but event without having major technical understanding of the video game creation process, logic would dictate to me that with new hardware (PS$), PSN implementation maybe with PS4 specific dedicated servers, the sheer size of the game which I don't believe has ever been attempted on a console before, MAG coming to mind.
All the factors listed above, taken in aggregate, would create a situation where delays may be possible. As I sated above, w...
This game is very ambitious, I would rather them take their time and release something solid, rather than rush something out and pull a BF4.
Plus, they are F2P, so I think a solid product is key to not turn potentially paying customers off.
Can't wait to try this out on the PS4.
Sounds legit. Always like multiplayer exploration games. It's cool that things will be optional, really allows you to shape your own gaming experience.
