Sooooo freakin excited right now! PlayStation 4 announcement incoming!
a $21 loss is nothing for a new console launch. All they need is a 1/1 software attachment rate (minus Nintendo Land) and they're profitable.
I still would have liked if they ditched that expensive controller and invested that money into getting a faster cpu in that thing.
They definitely need to streamline it, I haven't hopped on Home in a while, but when I did I remember the load times being pretty bad, and everything just seemed really slow.
PlayFest, PlayNation, PlayTime. Something like that would be a cool name too. Not a fan of BigFest.
Those crap Resistance and CoD games from Nihilistic just got put out of their misery. THIS is the definitive portable FPS.
Whaa... that's gameplay? Someone needs to do a side-by-side comparison of Mercenary and KZ3.
I have chills, that was beautiful.
500 at launch - anything more than that and I'll wait for a nice bundle to come along.
Xbox 360 - 611
My god... Why does Microsoft even bother with that market?
This probably isn't the place to post this, but this is my prediction on the games we'll see at E3 when they unveil the PS4.
* Uncharted 4 stage demo
* Gran Turismo 6 tech demo (possibly in 4K if the PS4 supports it)
* Killzone 4 stage demo
* Sucker Punch new IP revealed
* Media Molecule new IP revealed (unless Sony makes them do LBP3)
* New Motorstorm
* Hot Shots Golf
* Super Stardust
* PSN exclusive tit...
Its been a long time since we've seen anything from them, unless Sucker Punch is working on something ridiculously ambitious, I think its a safe bet that whatever they're working on could be a launch title. Although the same can be said for Media Molecule, Guerrilla Games, Evolution, Studio Japan and Polyphony.
Its pretty crazy to think about all the studios they have in their stable who have been obviously working on PS4 games for the last few years. That launch wind...
2014 release I bet. Definitely getting revealed alongside the PS4.
Ugh, that is really ugly.
I actually think the new Xbox and PlayStation will just be fairly plain looking black boxes with a logo on it. If they want them to be the center of your living room, they need to be aesthetically pleasing to look at. Concepts like the one in this article are too busy.
That and how many people actually used their Kinect enough to warrant going out and buying Kinect 2 for the new Xbox right away?
They should try and cater to the hardcore gamer for the first few years, then bring out a new motion control gimmick once they get the price down a little. That strategy worked for them with the 360, why change it?
But I agree, I hope they call Kinect a success and move on from it.
I am ready but my wallet is not.
Pretty cool if you can check out the store on your phone, buy the game you want and then remotely start the download on your PS3/PS4 so the game is all ready to go when you get home.
Hopefully that isn't too far off.
Kingdom Hearts is my favorite video game franchise, I'm definitely excited about this (even if I have to import), but this better be the last Kingdom Hearts title they release before Kingdom Hearts 3.
Kingdom Hearts II came out in March 2006 ... C'mon Square get your crap together and give us games we actually care about not this Lightning Returns garbage.
To be honest, probably the Wii.
I waited outside of a Toys R Us for 5 hours in the cold to get my hands on one, and aside from an occasional Mario game, it didn't get much use after the first few weeks.
PlayStation Move is another regret, LittleBigPlanet 2 is the only game I really had fun using it with. For games, Rock Band 3 w/keyboard comes to mind.
Fortunately a lot of studios are hiring for next-gen projects right now, so hopefully most of them wont have a lot of trouble finding work. But this still sucks, I wish them the best.
BEYOND!
I'm sick of the dumb rumors of which console will be most powerful, but I LOVE all this speculation, predictions and debate leading up to the announcements.
Probably just a little comment made to direct some attention away from their pending announcement.
