The problem is, that game didn't sell we'll enough when it was on multiple platforms. I can't imagine it would do very well as an exclusive. Even though it would be cool to see.
If they can manufacture the PS4 for around $400, I'd think they'll be willing to eat $100 of that to get the cost of the basic SKU down to $299, with a smaller HDD. Then they can also offer a premium model that includes a larger HDD and the new PlayStation Eye for maybe $450.
If the PlayStation World subscription service is real, they can definitely afford to take a little hit on it.
I have no doubt they'll have an awesome launch lineup. I just hope they don't release everything at launch, then have nothing for the months after. Gotta keep that momentum going.
The video on the PlayStation channel has more than 10 million views at the moment, not bad. Looks like there is a lot of interest in the PS4.
There was a woman present during the Media Molecule tech demo, and I'm pretty sure there were multiple in their opening video.
Games like Dead or Alive are okay in the video game industry, but the second there isn't a woman onstage at a console unveiling, its sexist? Right...

What did this guy expect? Its a console war between Sony and Microsoft. Sony fired the first shot, but they're not going to empty their gun just like that. They need to keep some of those announcements to themselves. Wow, didn't they just purchase both 1UP and GameSpy within the last year or so? Hopefully the majority of those who lost their job will be rehired by IGN or other outlets.

Honestly, this might sound dumb, but the thing that got me most excited about the PS4, was Mark Cerny as lead architect designer. Hes just a really brilliant, old school game designer, who set out to create a game players dream console. He is clearly very passionate about what they created with the PS4 - and I got excited just listening to him talk about the specs and features of the system. Knack also looks pretty cool, though it will most likely be one of those games that gets overshadowed ...
That patent they filed for blocking used games, maybe they're planning on licensing that tech to Microsoft :P
I actually plan on downloading the majority of my games next-gen. Being able to play the game while it downloads, that sold me on the idea of going mostly digital for consoles. But its good to know that I can trade in games to put toward a new game purchase if I want to.
It'll be interesting to see if the Microsoft allows the new Xbox to play used games, now that we know Sony will.
Exactly, they basically just said "We have that too". And its not like this was just tacked on, they've been building toward this for years now by introducing the Move and Vita, both of which work beautifully with your PS4. I don't mean to sound like a fanboy, but in that respect, it really is the ultimate game console. And I plan on playing both, along with Knack, which looked pretty great too. Although Cerny didn't mention a release window on that one did he? Probably a 2014 title.
