thats the one thing I didn't like. The whole presentation method, the feel of it. It seemed like it was thought off by a nervous school boy. First of all, he talked too much about history (as stated above), then about what defines this and that, while our desire was see more visuals in form of hands on demos; if they were present in the gaming arena why couldn't they show 'em in the actual presentation? Also, there wasn't much energy there that I felt in M$ presentation, those guys, even thou...

but even that died down soon enough and now I don't actually feel angry at all, because I realized it was not something major: we still get the game. While PS3 lost some exclusives, it also gained some in form of new IPs. So nothing really there to worry about, cause everything is looking bright for PS3, regardless of FF exclusivity or not.

I think everybody (as far as I have seen) judges Sony harshly and always nitpicks about everything. While M$ is praised for almost nothing innovative. M$ show was basically consisted of more than half of the stuff multi-plat, and at the end they show the trailer of a game that is already coming out on PS3. Sony at least had some major and original stuff showcased.

Would you prefer to invest in a console that is at risk of RROD or keep a reliable console? I almost bought a 360 but thank goodness that I checked the internet first, I'm not rich and would never want to pay again for repairs, warranty never last for long.

I'm not sure why people consider M$ announcement of FF on 360 a big surprise or colossal fall for Sony. It's not like they invented a new IP or anything, and Sony does not need to counter it, since PS3 is TOO getting it! There's no exclusivity, and if there is, PS3 still gets the most of it...being only on PS3 in Japan...Versus, there ya go.

Do whatever the hell you want Micro$oft, cause I have simply accepted the fact that you are NOT so innovative when it comes to gaming and would rather unload butt load of cash to ride on the success of softwares made famous all thanks to Playstation.

than get ready to play the greatest game ever to hit the console world. But on a personal, I was a bit let down by the teaser, I was hoping they would show something much more, as in a short clip of a battle or Titans maybe. Overall Sony had much better show than Nintendo, but they didn't had as much hands on stuff as did M$.

buy off Konami and secure their Metal Gear franchise. So far, there strategy with exclusives is not working, good faith in console is hardly a way to go but some developers like Naughty Dog think it is, I appreciate them for this though. But I also appreciate what Sony said, that they won't bribe their way into exclusivity, that just shows Sony does have some ethics.

GTA-4 sold much better on 360. It could also happen here.

their whole statement. Home is only for "hard-core gamers". I don't know whether he meant it in terms of appeal or interface, but even kids of today are far mature and fast learners. I think they would prefer Home over that.

But most interesting thing is, all those months ago, Home was bashed by 360 fanboys, but now that M$ has copied that idea as well, they'll do a full 360 on their own words.

Those M$ people have a white board that lists *"All-the-games-we-need-t o-steal-from-PlayStation-and-su rprise-everyone-while-making-ou rselves-look-like-bunch-of-unim aginative-retards."
Oh cool, good for them!

*Obvious reference to Get-Smart: A title which seems to fit in here.

technically they are making money off Playstation-made-famous titles, so yes they are stealing them! And Damn Sony for letting them. Instead of investing in a new IP, they prefer to buy off Playstation brands to win the competition. But great thing about Sony is that they always try to come up with fresh new IPs.

Well, that's true, 360 has really turned around and diversified its scope. I'm sure it will continue to grow in that aspect. But you can't blame the people for accusing 360 of being a shooter platform since its famous for Gears and Halo, but that's not to say 360 boys don't accuse PS3 of having no games, it still goes on. But yeah, let's wait for Sony tomorrow and hope for their sake they have something stellar under their sleeve if at all.

Agreed. I am really hoping for something colossal from Sony to counter the recent FF-13 loss, and no GoW-3 won't do it. It has to be something else entirely.

6412d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

they only won those titles by sheer depth of their pockets, and frankly there is such thing as loyalty which SqaureEnix doesn't have anymore. Ok, granted 360 is getting all RPGs but its not the end though, some loyal to the franchise might prefer to buy FF on PS3, who knows. But Sony also has to make its announcements tomorrow so there might be some surprises still left. I guess VERSUS is still exclusive.

Are they sleeping in their beds while they loose their exclusives, this game was the only RPG that could have saved their butts. Damn those M$ all to hell! Thank goodness they can't take away GoW-3 from Playstation. Seriously that was a big blow to Sony and to hell with SquareEnix.

There better be some exclusive stuff for PS3 darn it.

Their job is to assure their consumers that they have invested in a winning system. I'm sure Sony might say the same thing, but it shouldn't matter.

Na, I'm new to this game and have been hearing that it would be good. So I was really expecting something to get me excited or at least convince me that its worth a buy and frankly it didn't. I think its the same guys who made Oblivion, but that game too was a bit slow paced for me but I did manage to play it for a fair amount of time. I don't know maybe you or somebody could explain to me about this game.

But I like the other aspects of it, the ruined city, and the gameplay (th...

I thought the kind of demo they gave us was exceedingly boring, or is the game suppose to be like that? I don't think the game is my kind of game by the looks of that but I'll wait for more news releases before making up my mind. But the only thing I hated about Fallout presentation was the fact that the online-addons are only coming to 360 exclusively, what the hell is wrong with them? Why doesn't Sony ever reserve some sort of exclusivity for themselves? They need to extend their wings furt...

we all want to justify that our console of choice is better than the other, therefore feeling less threatened that exclusive games on either consoles don't go Multiplat. But what I understood from that article is that PS3 is just as powerful as 360, and Cell, if it really is that power-ful, maybe PS3's only advantage. Feel free to correct me though.
