I've heard from a lot of people who own multiple consoles that Madworld wasn't really anything special. that may also be why the game didn't sell well.

Eventually the games should have spoken for the system in volumes by now looking at the hardware sales. I still see the wii (console) still selling well into the next 3 years. But the attach rate for that thing is going to be horrendous.

False, Crysis looks miles better than warhead, and warhead will look better than cryengine 3. Cryengine 3 is a gimped version of the original games' engine. It won't look better than most exclusives released on the PS3. Crysis' animations aren't anything great, many PS3 exclusive games have better character animations. That's why people are hardly talking about ODST, and even less talking about Wars. It's getting a lot of rentals because:
1) It's an american renting website (Halo's backyard)
2) It's not an FPS (people are just going to rent it out of curiosity)
3) It will not have a huge turn out of first month sale that we're used to seeing from a Halo game. It's made by a dev team that got canned (confidence in ensemble much MS?)

It's the best looking console game til killzone 2 comes out and every media outlet was parading Gears around like it had the most amazing visuals. (still don't understand it)

Seeing how the pro PS3 articles are very far and inbetween next to the "Sony is failing" articles that sites like IGN, Gametrailers, and kotaku put out everyday. I don't see a problem with a pro-ps3 article showing up every once in a while. A lot of these "journalist" should have got the sony bashing out of their systems by now, they've been doing it for 2 years straight. But you probably had no problem with that, huh?
I just want at least one up to date screen shot. I'll learn about the game when I'm playing it. but I want to see this game at a more solid state. (Has no problem with the VGA trailer, thought it looked amazing. Pay attention to the finer details like the lighting effects and the background's almost flawless animations. But would like to see the game at it's most polished right now.)

That's exactly what he's been doing. He has good news and bad news for both Sony/MS, but since he's an ethusiastic game journalist, you know thats frowned upon. Also cause he never talks about "the PS3 is a failboat" like most of the sites that attack him... go fig.
How many times did IGN make an article stating "ok, THIS TIME metal gear solid 4 is going to the 360" because someone's mother's uncle said so... Or the "PS3 is doomed" articles that come up every two days.

Thanks for clearing that up captain obvious. Now write up an article talking about how after two price drops the 360 only sold 300,000 more consoles than the PS3 in '08 (which costs twice as much at sticker price), and try to spin that as a good thing for MS or a bad thing for sony... I can't believe they tried saying the 360 has the edge when it comes to games... Get those arguments out of your heads as fast as possible because that argument is becoming more and more false as the days go by....
But even IGN's articles are plagued with spelling and grammatical errors. So I would rather it be the honest journalism that HHG brings, because alot of the IGN's of the world always come off as suspect to me like they have some sort of agenda. (most of them do)

In a time where we have a black president we still have the black characters from Gears of War and FFXIII that are walking stereotypes. What this article proves is that the world is still very naive to other people/cultures and video games are reflecting that. Why has the industry been so slow to open up the spectrum of heroes.
