They felt the franchise would stagnate if they stayed with Nintendo (Which is true). What's the two big dream projects from Square? Sequel to chrono cross and FF7 remake. Not 1-6, 7. Why? Because FF7 is where Square reached it's zenith. (Screw off FF6 fanboys) Through Playstation, Square and the FF franchise were allowed to be industry leaders, and household names.
The 360 doesn't need Blu-Ray, because, like Crapcom and Squenix, they'll screw up the PS3 version just to make sure the 360 version is equal or sometimes better. And even then the gaming media at large will delibrately ignore any problems on the 360 side. Only PS3 multiplatform games have faults.

(same with Little Big Planet) Eventually people will see these sites will consistently be wrong about judging what's a good game, and hopefully (several years into this gen) people will GET THE F*** over Sony's E3 '06. FFXIII on PS3 is still showing far larger numbers. I guess that's why Sears and Amazon are reporting that they are limiting how many PS3's you can buy. (Amazon's down to one per household) But no it's the 360 bundle that's selling like, as a troll put it earlier, "hotcakes".

once I hit 8.5 hours I paused it... nope still not at the ending. I did die several times, but this is game is longer than 8 hours and this is not this person's first playthrough. It's funny cause even with cutscenes and having to traverse the open world map, ODST's campaign barely skims 5 hours. and I saw plenty of articles defending it and even saying it was 8 hours.
