I like the sound of October. It would give me the perfect excuse to buy it day 1 despite whatever it might cost, because my birthday's in October. I don't need an excuse to buy pricey consoles, but my wife does. Lol.
PS+ has had awesome deals over the last few months. FC3 was 35€ on PSN at the Christmas deals. Some other deals since December: PSASBR 23€, BL2 & Season Pass 40€, Journey & The Unfinished Swan 12€, NFS:MW 27€, Dishonored 23€. I bought them all immediately for those prices. And those are just the fresh games.
How can we all do that when a big portion simply can't even if they'd want to? I'm very lucky to have a 100Mb/s connection with no data caps for 40€, but there are too many gamers who don't have access to such luxury.

No, the thing is, we shouldn't have to wait any longer than any other region. It doesn't matter how long we've waited for it either. It's easy for you Americans to say "you can wait". Imagine it the other way around. You wait 6 months more for a console and on top of that pay more for your console too.
IDC if they're speeding by when measuring sales. Vita and 3DS are far superior for many obvious reasons. It's stupid to compare them like apples and apples.

Actually the charge port is right below the lightbar. It can be seen there with a USB symbol in one of those pics.
I think it won't scratch so much. Considering it's position only your fingers should be touching it. It would have to be of VERY low quality material to scratch from fingers.

I believe it was confirmed to be a touchpad only. Also in the pics you can see it's slightly textured and it doesn't look like glass. It's a pad.
I don't mind shorter cycles but I want to see a significant difference between generations. I won't buy a new console for a premium price 2, 3 or even 4 years after the previous was released.

No gameplay? You were watching the wrong stream. There was real time gameplay of at least Killzone: Shadow Fall and Watch Dogs.
Also yes they had new games. Knack, The Witness, Killzone: Shadow Fall, inFamous: Second Son, that team racing game with a forgettable name.
The console won't be out before holiday season, and you need to know how to use the touchpad right now? Have a little patience and use your imagination.
I don't think Sony would be dropping a tech they helped develop out of their console. There will be Bluray on PS4 for sure.
