It's a custom chip designed specifically for PS4. Not off the shelf.
No. Just no. All the free games are playable as long as your PS+ sub lasts. And they will be available if you end it and come back later too. Stop spreading lies please.
It's not like you can compare them like apples and apples due to PS+ Instant Game Collection and getting Driveclub day 1 with PS+. MS is only catching up by giving 2 360 games a month, the first titles being Halo 3 and AC2. IGC gives you something quite fresh occasionally too, such as Hitman Absolution and Sleeping Dogs.
@DeanSanchez,
It was great but not flawless IMHO. I wish there had been more big surprises and game reveals. Also you need to have PS+ for online play on PS4. But TBH that's a non-issue because it offers so much value. You're getting Driveclub Day 1 with it! :) But the one thing that made this shine was the confirmation of NO DRM, and the price. Overall a very good press conference. :)
Obvious troll is obvious.
It's confirmed, no DRM of any kind on used games. No online check-ins required at all.
Although you need to be a Plus member to play online on PS4.
Because that's totally a bad thing? Yeah, whoever would want more games like Journey, Limbo, Braid, Super Meat Boy???? /s
The point is Sony is supporting indie games more than ever and certainly more than MS with their self publishing. Even though most of the indie games shown seem like they're not my cup of tea (except Oddworld!), I'm certain there's a lot of good things to come from this.
Agreed. This game now has my attention thanks to no Kinect.
Cannon Fodder
@Hercules,
Really now? Well then I guess it's only been a few weeks since Uncharted 3 launched, because the MP still alive and breathing with lots of old and new players alike.
Thanks, that's a lot easier than juggling between what time they're at PDT and converting that to EEST.
No, it is completely relevant. I was referring to how one of the stooges on stage basically said the new Kinect is "Rocket Science Level Stuff". Which it clearly is not. Cool technology maybe, but it can't touch rocket science. Thus it's a ridiculous thing to say.
In a similar fashion Next Gen Magic is another ridiculous but funny way to describe a feature of the rivaling console. My comment had nothing to do with actual rocket science and was just a witty w...
Bookmarked.
I'll have to wake up at 04:00 to watch it live but it's just a few hours before I go to work so it's ok, just have to go to bed earlier.
What a strong counter argument against the article you got there pal. Good job!
/S
MS + consumer in control does not compute.
Since when does Wii U = 3DS?
Clearly you never saw the Xbone reveal.
@kneon,
Oops, indeed you were. My mistake. Should've started reading from GamersRulz' comment.
@SonicRush15,
There's a word for that kind of strange. Damage control.
Actually I wasn't forgetting that, I've been wondering about that myself too. One possibility is that the console itself won't require an internet connection at all, but when you insert a game with DRM, it would require you to connect to the internet to be able to play it.
That would be at least a little bit better than Xbone because at least it would give you the option to stay offline, by not playing DRM games. Not saying it would still be good though, because t...
Here's hoping that the new hen lays some more fine eggs like this one.
