This is one of my most anticipated games of the year so far. This could very well be the definitive survival horror game. Hopefully sales are really good for it.
Also can't wait to try playing it with Oculus Rift.
I'm actually very excited for a Gears of War on UE4. Judgment was a big disappointment for me over Gears 3, and I put hundreds of hours into 3. Probably the only game that's taken a lot of my time. As long as the MP is good, the campaign fun and the graphics great I'm good to go.
Do you even know what click bait is? It's articles without a point and with an outlandish title. Nobody forced you to click on the link so why waste your time with a comment like that? There's an opinion here and just because you disagree with it you call it click bait, makes sense.
DragonKnight, that was perfect lol.
I kinda thing it will, potentially, considering those who don't read gaming news all the time. I think just having the Final Fantasy name attached to this project will create some bad taste considering it might not be a great game.
(Didn't write the article btw)
Good, I like this. Now what about NHL Gamecenter? I want that!
Probably no way in hell it would pass our laws regulating plagarism etc.
It's on the EU and Asia stores, not US.
Pretty quick to judge on a game we haven't seen a whole lot for yet.
Well the way I would look at is that they'll be able to focus on making Mordor as detailed as possible instead of spreading assets out through little areas like they did in War in the North.
Plus, if you read up on the game a bit more, the nemesis system they have in place is actually very complicated. There's a number of different ways to about completing objectives. Pretty sure they said the game is open-world as well.
Personally, I enjoyed War in the North for what it was even if it got repetitive, but the three player coop was just bad. I would have much rather played the game alone. When you went down in that game and they tried to revive you, they'd just stand there and take hits and die and then you'd have to start over again. Very very aggravating especially considering the game was pretty challenging in the first place. Enemies took way way too many hits.
Its certainly looking fun. The way the enemies are procedurally generated is pretty amazing.
...I kinda felt bad for our reviewer having to review this...
Huh wha? If it wasn't coming they'd stop pre-orders of the game all together...they wouldn't just keep taking money knowing a product isn't coming anymore.
Edit: Hmm, whole situation just seems odd. Would be nice for Nintendo to just freakin come out and say, yes the game is still coming.
The Kotaku story said that the game was still coming -
"[UPDATE 2, 2:58PM:] Good news, everyone! GameStop Italy and our U.S.-based source have both said that this was all a glitch in the system and that Watch Dogs is—or will soon be—available for pre-order for Wii U again in Italy and the U.S. Apologies for making everyone nervous about this and for not getting that all sorted prior to publishing the first time."
Ratchet and Clank and Resistance were not shit games. Their biggest pitfall so far was FUSE, and even that wasn't terrible by any means, just wasn't what everyone though it was going to be.
firelogic,
Should probably go look up news on the cloud and project spark before you laugh it off. Article is on OXM.
Don't forget the nutty weapons. I'm interested in how they'll utilize the cloud to introduce new weapons overtime. Just hope to god it's not in the form of paid DLC.
Yea, I reported on that QB gameplay. The fact that every moveable object in the game can be affected by time is pretty insane. I loved Timeshift, so if it's a big step up from those mechanics I can't wait to see it.
Yea at first when he told us the game would be 3-4 hours I was like, eh. But then permadeath comes into play and Aaron is right on target saying players wouldn't want to replay more than that amount of time with that feature in place.
Heck, BF4 is only, what, 5 hours long and I've had to restart it 4 times now cause of corrupt saves and have a hard time going back to replay it. Not related to permadeath, but you get my point?
There's actually quite a few coming that look like perfect fits for Oculus. The Forest, Among the Sleep and Routine, all horror, all use Oculus Rift. Reset will be using it too, just did an interview with those guys yesterday.
