Yea not sure why you're getting disagrees. People bitch all the time about a site looking to make controversial reviews for hits and reap the ad impressions. Jim has no ads, and is giving his opinion on the game and still people say he's looking for hits. Lol.
From a reviewer's standpoint, it's much better than I thought it was going to be considering Techland's previous games. Dead Island was good in some areas, but not great. Dying Light I feel will be a sleeper hit this year.
????? N4G is just an aggregation site, you get all your news from all the stuff N4G aggregates, which is from sources like IGN, Joystiq and Gamespot. That's about as silly as the people on Reddit saying they get all their news from r/games lol.
Ew open world Halo. There's enough open world games out there, let Halo be Halo haha. I just hope the campaign is more varied this time around though, 4 was good, but didn't have the "epic" feeling that most Halo campaigns have had. It was a nice change of pace, and the humanizing of the Chief was very good, but I need my epic battles.
Uh...idk. The only opinion I have on that is that they might announce it sometime soon to garner hype and sales for the new Mass Effect. But, considering they're working on Shadow Realms, Mass Effect and their Star Wars game, I'd place bets on them outsourcing it if they are doing it
Edit: Misred your question, gave opinion on Mass Effect trilogy announcement. Next Mass Effect has already kinda been announced, just not revealed yet.
If Battlefront gets 10 million in sales, you'll be seeing a lot more Battlefront I'd imagine. Which also kinda worries me.
With how little stamina you have starting out, that guy scared the hell out of me haha. I tried to play the game like Dead Island and you cannot do that. You will die quickly.
I think it makes sense to release in 2016 with all that EA has coming this year. Battlefront, new NFS, Battlefield...all major sellers.
It's certainly got higher production values than the Dead Island games by a long shot. The graphics are really good. The gameplay is also really improved and the traversal makes it pretty quick to move around. Story is more interesting too.
I do have it on PS4, and the performance has been fine. Maybe a few clips here or there, but nothing major. Framerate is smooth majority of the time. Can't recall any motion blur that really bothered me, there might be some though....
For those of you looking to pick this up today, I'd say go for it. The game is very good looking, the combat is fun, and the little bit of the story I've played is actually pretty interesting. As for the mission structure, it's more or less more of what you've done in open world games or played in Dead Island for that matter. There's a lot of, go help this person, go fetch this, go flip this switch early on. Which is all I can speak for at the moment.
If ...
The gameplay footage they released looks great, and leagues ahead of where The Witcher 2 was at. Really excited to play it at E3. Lucky EIC got to go to this for us :P

This takes the award for most narrow sighted comment I've read today. Congrats, you earned it :)
Yup, you can actually find Wilson in the game! Found it in our livestream last night, carried it everywhere we went. Funniest part was, since there was only one person commentating, it kinda seemed like he was talking to the ball the whole time lol.
The Forest is probably the game that's the closest to this one, but it involves cannibals.
I have my reservations about the cloud, but I seriously hope it works like the developers say it does. If Crackdown has a fully destructible open world, that'd honestly be incredible. Would love to see that happen, and what it would for future games on both Microsoft and Sony machines as I'm sure there'd be some great competition to be had there.
Ali,
Didn't say it was. I said the Black Ops series in general takes a more "fictional" take on war.
That's four zombie games compared to the like 30 space themed games coming lol. I don't really wanna list them for you, but off the top of my head..
Dreadnought
Into the Stars
No Man's Sky
Star Citizen
Sid Meir's
Deep Space Settlement
Rebel Galaxy
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada
..just to name a few :D
All these articles are is speculation marked as rumors? Why not just label them as opinion pieces..
In your title it is not though.
Really looking forward to checking out The Order: 1886. I'm glad they haven't shown off much of the game with their marketing campaign, because, doing coverage of video games can really kinda ruin the fun of playing a new game since you know so much about it.
Not worried about it being linear or cinematic at all, considering a lot of my favorite games are linear and cinematic. I'm ready for a strong narrative and a game that won't take me 500+ hours to complet...
