We wrote this article last year on why devs should return to WW2. http://www.onlysp.com/shoul... - Next-gen Normandy would be quite the sight. I'd also love to see some games tackle the Battle of the Bulge.
We did a livestream of the game and learned a lot more about the game. It'd be very ideal for the developers to add a map to the game so you can mark your "home island" haha.
I think they can make the future interesting as long as they actually take it into the future. You know, like creative settings instead of the usual urban, nature stuff. Don't wanna speculate too much, but the Black Ops games have always been a lot more "fictional" than the other COD games, I think it's pretty open to where they could take it.
Edit: @DarkOcelet, agreed, I'd like a new WW2 shooter as well. At least there's hopes for a new Brothers in...
They're just pandering to the N4G audience. It's painfully obvious..
Best example I can think of at the moment is Elite Dangerous. The game originally featured an offline mode then later dropped it, and can now only be played online. Some games have done it the other way around like Sim City. There's still people asking if both of those games have an offline mode or not.
And when you buy a game that's expecting a subscription fee, then you're going to assume it's an online only game. If you can but it like any other retail game...
Obviously. But considering the game is going from a sub based game to the normal model, people might buy it thinking it can be played as an offline game. People that pay attention to gaming news most likely know how the game will work, but the uninformed consumer might not, which is why we asked :)
If they go third person along with first person, I'm certainly hoping that they add cover mechanics...considering the last one was two gens ago now ;)
Here's the latest update on Mad Max - http://www.onlysp.com/first...
Gameinformer had a small trailer for the game which included little snippets of footage.
@Morganfell
You wrote a wall of text that really stated nothing right there.
“The number of positive articles posted on N4G are nothing compared to the sheer tidal wave of insignificant sites saying the game isn't innovative...or worth playing so you can judge innovation.”
All I said in my comment was that both sides need to wait before making judgments about whether a game is innovative or not by actually playing the game. I took a compl...
Title - The Order: 1886 is the Most Amazing, Gorgeous, Outstanding, Stunning, Absolutely Awesome Game EVER Made..and, The Most Innovative.
OT: Really looking forward to the game even if my comments make it seem otherwise. A lot of my favorite games are linear narrative experiences, and everything I've seen of The Order as of late has me excited to play it. I'd rather play a game with a good story than another open world game with the same objectives again and again.
No. There's a definition for innovative, but there is NOT a clear cut way to decide what is and what isn't innovative.
And you are telling people not to bash it in your title, so you are defending the game without playing it.
Basically, if we go about your way of thinking, EVERY game is innovative because there's something different in literally every single game that's made unless you release the same product twice with everything exactly the...
How can you call something innovative without playing it? The articles saying its generic are as about as useful as this article saying it's innovative. Nobody has played the game yet, so forming opinions like this are just a waste of time and written for hits.
Also, using the actual definition of innovative to prove your point is quite lame. There's no clear cut way to decide what's innovative and what's not. Just another article defending a product that you...
We've got lots of interesting interviews coming up for games you may have not of heard about. One of em involves some very advanced AI that really amazed us :)
Just adding my two cents here, I would love if anyone reading this article provided us feedback on whether you liked it or not. We're really looking to introduce a different way to interview developers in a way that lets them say what they want to say without their words being twisted into hyped up headlines.
The team introduction article didn't get much attention here, as expected, so if you'd like to read the first part to learn more about Uppercut Games, here&...
I'd hate my job if I worked the way Abriael did. Literally, everything he writes is pure garbage and is just written for hits.
Oh, here's a Tweet saying X game is looking great. Cool, here comes a story. Dev says X game is great, here's the Tweet saying so. / End Story
Or oh look, here's some "glorious" looking 1080p screenshots of DriveClub that are absolutely stunningly amazingly awesome.
Such a waste of time even...
Yea, woulda thought I'd at least see some commercials for it on AMC or Syfy by now. I don't understand Sony's marketing department sometimes. There still playing that stupid CGI trailer that has NBA 2K15 and Destiny featured in it. Need to start promoting their first party titles more.
Maybe we'll get a sweet ass Super Bowl trailer haha.
It's not that we have an issue with the game being always online, just posing the notion that it should offer the option for an offline mode to suite everybody and avoid the problems that always online games present.
The big difference with Destiny is that all the bosses are bullet sponges and the raids, arguably the best part of the game cannot be played alone. From the looks of The Division, the enemies aren't bullet sponges and aside from PVP, it doesn't look like it'll absolutely require teamwork to play properly.
Edit: Oh no, I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm just saying that's how they designed the game to force play like that, which I think was a bad ...
Where you reading those rumors?
