And with that, Dead Space is dead. The franchise is going the way of Resident Evil. The horror genre is slowly dying folks. Unless a new IP comes next gen that blows everyone away, things are pretty much dead on the horror side of gaming.

R.I.P for real.

It's rare to see Iwata make such bold claims. Hell, even Reggie is talking some smack. Maybe all that backlash is getting to them because all this is damage control at it's finest. I really hope Nintendo isn't getting arrogant like Sony was before this gen.

It's cool to want nice things Iwata.

Third party support has always been a negative when it comes to Nintendo so I'll believe it when I see it. Especially since their E3 didn't show a shitload of third parties excited about the Wii U platform.

Well damn, very interesting to hear it from the horses mouth.

Reading the article, it's obvious it's going to be a while before we get a competent online network since Iwata say's he doesn't want to rush into it. Explains why we didn't hear of the Nintendo Network at E3.

This quote is also telling "I think that what we see in terms of online gaming networks on existing dedicated gaming platforms is not particularly well suited to the...

I swear, Nintendo takes one step forward and two steps back. I have no idea whats up with this company. Just mind boggling really.

Why is this a surprise? The Wii and DS got a Call Of Duty as well.

It's pretty undeniable at this point. I mean, 3 Marios at one press conference? That's pretty crazy right there.

Who gives a crap about specs? I care about the games. If the WiiU continues the way it's going, nobody is going to care about how powerful it is if it has a lackluster gaming library.

I really think all that success the Wii gained for Nintendo left them completely delusional when it comes to the hard core gamer. This conference didn't convince anybody of a goddamn thing and it was evident given the reactions. They fact that they thought some multiplats would do the job is hilarious.

It's crazy because Nintendo nailed it with the Nintendo Direct video. Now they completely demolished any interest the Wii U had to people who weren't going to buy ...

Looks absolutely crazy.

Please don't tell me this was the zombie game in the Nintendo Direct video. The game looked like ass.

The Wii U's launch line up seems to be full of Ubisoft games.

Minds would be blown if this is true.

Cosign. The price is going to be a huge determining factor. A console at 350 or 400 won't make the same effect as a console launching at 250 like the Wii did. Very interesting to see how things play out.

So is it 350 or 400?

Glad I haven't made the jump yet. Knew something like this was going to happen.

Damn, just noticed Ellen Page is in this game. Crazy shit really.
