Even though I said "seriously though" at the end, some people didn't realize I was joking.

It does give 1920x1080 support natively, although I noticed that it was the very last resolution on the list, and you have to scroll down the list to see it using the scroll bar at the side.

I was playing Crysis on High at 1280x720 with >30fps avg using an 8800GT 512MB and an E6550 (overclocked though), probably 2GB of ram at the time.

Now I play it on Very High easily with my X3 720 (oc'd to 3.4ghz) and a pair of 4890s, which is considerably more expe...

I disagree completely, Crysis offers some gameplay that very few other shooters have. It's a mix between open world and linear shooters, I like being able to approach situations how I enjoy doing them which usually means being a sneaky bastard. Not to mention the mods add some cool stuff to the game as well.

I think most developers would like it if their game sold copies on day one too :p

I also commented along the same lines as you and haven't been approved yet either :p

The last point was probably the most useless of them all.

Pretty sure you can play the GoW collection in 1080p.. I thought that was an advertised feature.

On top of this I'd like to see a Kingdom Hearts collection, never got a chance to play them and friends of mine have nothing but priase for them.

Eastern commenters stop ruining our english language.

Seriously though, the only thing wrong with those pictures is that she's wearing too much.

Sony's released a console roughly every 6 years, and it will only be 4 years once we hit November this year. Probably for the reason you listed, among others.

List of most PS3 games and their user-polled difficulty ratings. Looks like NGS2 is the toughest according to the community. I'm aiming for the Star Ocean platinum myself, going to take a very long time though.

Lets not forget that a PC isn't just for gaming. People seem to forget that when comparing them to consoles.

This is what I like to see, gameplay videos where the players aren't absolutely terrible at the game.

Regardless of whether its 100Gb/s or 100GB/s, harddrive speeds are still NOWHERE near being able to match that kind of speed.

And no, that speed is actually the standard. And I already admitted he was right about triple channel, so I fail to see your point.

And yeah, I probably should have read the article to find out the submitter doesn't know the difference between gigabits and gigabytes, but the header already told me what I needed to know.

And for RAM I was going with JDEC standards as listed here:

lol, too bad harddrives can't write that fast. Hell, the fastest interface we have is SATA3 and that maxes out at 6Gb/s (0.75GB/s), and the fastest DDR3 memory maxes out 16.7GB/s.. hardware needs to catch up.

5717d ago 11 agree4 disagreeView comment

Actually the 2.5" sata drives avg around the same, I'd imagine an older 500GB harddrive is even faster than that.

Yeah, you'd need an extremely expensive SSD to get a decent performance boost and still have a sizeable capacity.

Well, the Cell makes up for the GPU.. the original design was to have 2 cell processors instead of a cell and a semi-standard GPU.

Activision is hurting the industry.

I'm just stating what a sony rep had said. I haven't actually signed up for it. Keep in mind the keyword "may", so it isn't guaranteed. There are probably some games you can and can't keep.

Yeah I don't think people realize how early pre-alpha really is..
