I blame youtube for the quality.
Here we go again with shitty "game journalism"... actual quote:
Yuji Horii: I wonder sometimes why the US reviewers are more negative towards turn-based battle systems.
from http://ds.ign.com/articles/...
He did not say Americans don't like turn-based RPGs, he's just saying he wonders why reviewers bash turn-based. TBH its rare for me to agree with...
Couldn't agree more
That and Star Ocean 4... takes absolutely forever to to platinum, I'll do it eventually!
There's some tough tracks in wipeout as well, can't remember their names though. The last track in the first Wipeout was a bitch to complete.
"Oh and speaking of stealth, the only time MGS4 has any bit of stealth is when you play on Extreme."
....
You could use stealth for the majority if not all of the game. The game was meant to allow players to approach situations how they wanted, just because you didn't use stealth doesn't mean there is not stealth sections in the game. Maybe you prefer games that hold your hand and tell you exactly how to play? Choices are complicated, I know...
Don't bother waiting for 320GB to show up, just buy a 120GB and pick up a 500GB for $60, will end up costing roughly the same anyway, but you'll have a spare 120GB hard drive and a larger drive in your PS3.
1 YLOD on my 60GB :( I was able to revive it again for another 2-3 weeks
no RROD but the reason for that is because I barely touch my 360. Always playing PS3 :P And I waited for the newer models of the 360.
I may play both just for the anime cutscenes. If its as awesome as I've heard it is, then I won't mind playing it twice :p Also, I have the undub'd version of it for PS2.
Didn't you know? Magical lag fix!
Would you recommend someone play the PSP version over the PS2 version?
I dunno I've owned both (launch 60gb and now 120gb slim, but upgraded to 320GB) and I just prefer the slim. I do agree it was worth the pricetag though.
I find the 360 slim to be the ugliest of them all.
I think the slim looks a hell of a lot better than the fat. I don't dig the shiny reflective surface, it loves to attract finger prints.
From playing the demo I couldn't get into it, but I love all the other Pixeljunk games.
I find it the exact opposite, I find myself slipping more on the 360 analog sticks. The only thing I like about the 360 analog sticks is that they're more stiff so that helps me with my accuracy in shooters.
While I don't think they are paid by MS, that's probably going too far, I still think they're morons. It has always been pretty obvious that they're biased but it is nice to see some math behind it. I don't even bother reading their reviews.
Edge is hardly a place for consistent reviews.
Fuck the what?
How about because the majority of games on this list are Nintendo games? Don't tell me there aren't any amazing games on other consoles, or that the only good games were those of previous generations.
Waiting on the PC version myself. Probably would have doubled sales figures (at the very least) had they released it on PC like they claimed they would.
