I meant to say 4GB. I corrected it.
LOL wth does that even mean?
Performance wise I'd say it's going to be within "spitting distance" of PS4/X1. The main concern I have is the 4GB of on board RAM. For exclusives I'm sure that won't be an issue since the games would be optimized but for 3rd party ports, I just don't see how you scale current gen games down that much without NOTICEABLE compromises.
Good God, the "DudeBro Bundle"
@mike
Most consumers won't care. If the quality of 4K streaming is as close to 4K Blu ray as 1080p streaming is to 1080p Blu ray, most people won't know the difference. Hell some people still claim they don't see a big difference between DVD and Blu ray.
Stats show that way more consumers are streaming 4k content than playing it on physical disks. The 4K drive was omitted to keep costs down.
Imo if you're so enamored with playing the old library on you're console, what does that say about the quality of the current library?
Coming from an owner of both, the Xbox One's UI is trash. I'm sorry but how anyone can prefer that convoluted mess over the PS4's XMB UI is beyond me. Especially now that you can create custom folders on the XMB. The interface is darn near perfect.
@PGR
But this particular example isn't running in 4K or with HDR. It's in standard 1080p. That's why I said if anyone doesn't own an HDR 4K TV, they shouldn't waste their time with the Pro. The gains are so minimal it's not worth it.
No, I just think anyone who looks at these particular examples and says "oh wow the difference is huge" is full of shit.
You're lying to yourself. The differences are so minimal that I'm convinced more than ever, if you don't own a 4K TV with HDR, you're wasting your money on the Pro.
Lol. Anyone who thinks these differences are significant in any way has fallen victim to classic placebo effect.
Seems pretty minimal to me. Not even a 60fps option?
I chose TF2 over Battlefield 1 because it suits my gaming tastes more. Battlefield requires too much teamwork where TF is more of a singular experience. Plus it has giant mechs, which you can NEVER go wrong with! The game is terrific! I love the platforming mechanics in the single player, which was an unexpected surprise. Multiplayer is a ton of fun too.
@monkeyman,
The consoles themselves may be 3 years old but the tech inside it is much older. At the time of launch, equivalent tech inside PS4/X1 was being put into laptops. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect that same tech 3 years later to fit into a tablet at a reasonable price. We're not talking bleeding edge tech here. This performance level has been around a while now. 299.99 should be perfectly reasonable for a tablet that's performance is ...
Yeah, I'm thinking 299.99 will be the base price. There might be a 399.99 bundle with a game and maybe a pro controller.
Somewhere between this game and Destiny is the game I'm looking for.
But see, thats what doesnt make sense to me. Its not like PS4/X1 tech is bleeding edge. Its already 3 year old tech and even back when they launched they were considered outdated. I dont see how in 2017 a performance equivalent thats in a tablet would be soooo expensive.
But at the end of the day, who cares, right? If the games look and play awesome, they look and play awesome. I just dont understand why console gamers this gen seem to concern themselves so much with the technical aspects of their machines. My guess? Its because the quality and fun factor of the actual games this generation have been so lackluster, its caused gamers to divert their attention to such mundane issues as t-flops, framerates, resolutions, rendering techniques, etc instead of j...
Best damn kart racer not named Mario Kart! Were it not for the unbearable loading times MNR wouldve been just about perfect! Great graphics, deep customization, great online community, etc! I 'd give anyththing if Sony would either make a sequel or do an HD re master of the original in full 1080p at 60fps and shorter load times.
