"by keeping the cost down they're setting themselves up for a smack down by scorpio."
@Maxor
LOL yeah we'll certainly look forward to that in a year and a half when Scorpio finally comes out. In the meantime, gamers can enjoy games with high graphic fidelity in 4K THIS year, along with a nice VR experience.
I wouldn't exactly call it great. I like Killer Instinct, Ori, and Forza. However beyond those nothing in the X1 library blows me away. I'm not a Halo fan. Quantum Break was meh. Re core looks OK. Gears looks OK. Nothing I would consider must own.
I hope more/better exclusives are in those plans.
And the Pro version will look "quite a lot better" when you have it running in your living room on your own 4K TV. You can't really judge these images properly on a PC monitor.
By showing us The Last of Us 2 running on it and looking incredible.
LOL I was just going to say, the title says absolutely nothing.
@PunisherRevenge
"you forget that Uncharted 4 was announced before and released after Quantum Break.._"
LOL yeah and the difference in quality between both games is evident. One is a Metacritic darling and on all gaming publication's Game Of The Year lists while the other is...Well...Quantam Break.
"SIGH" of course it has. Jeez, what in god's name has happened to Japanese game development this generation? With a (very) few exceptions, most games that have been Japanese developed have either been disappointing or delayed.
Same here. I played the tech test this past weekend and had a blast with it.
Agreed. The internet rage is ridiculous. I had a blast with the tech test this past weekend. People who griped about summoning titans based on kill streaks rather than timer, hell I was able to call down MORE titans using this method than I ever did when it was timer-based and that's a good thing IMO! When it was timer based, I was able to call down my titan MAYBE twice in a match. However in most matches I played this past weekend I was able to call one down on average 4 times a mat...
Just curious how does the tegra x1 compare to the newer mobile processors like qualcomm snap dragon 820?
I'd love for the game to allow us to construct our own Titans. Like introduce a ton of parts that we could mix and match to customize and create one ourselves. Then allow us to implemented custom paint jobs, decals, etc and name them.
Also, I'd love to have a titan "arena" mode where you could just battle 1 vs 1 against other titans in a giant coliseum-like stage with thousands of spectators!
What might help is to allow more destructibility to the environments, like the classic Godzilla games on Xbox/PS2. Players wouldnt be able to run and hide so much if Titans had the ability to collapse buildings, burn down forests, and blow enormous holes into the sides of walls. Perhaps "destruction mode" could be implemented as a power up meter you have to fill while piloting your mech, much like how you have to currently power up to call down the titan itself. That could help k...
Exactly. Like, did you notice that he didn't say a word about online network? That is huge to the modem gamer and Nintendo has a lot of ground to make up in that department.
My biggest concern is despite their efforts, it might be too little, too late for Nintendo.
Lol it won't be 999.99. By fall 2017 when Scorpio launches, 6 teraflops will be considered mid tier performance by PC standards. It won't cost any more than 499.99.
As long as Hello Games continues to grow the game without charging the player, I'm fine with it. Considering how many hours I've put into so far, it's been worth the price.
I agree with him. No matter what moves MS makes, it still comes down to them not having enough exclusive content to make it worth owning one of their consoles
Man! Why couldn't Star Fox Zero be more like this???
PS4K
This and denying EA Access to PS4 owners are real head scratchers
