"I'm sorry but if the Wii U was even remotely successful for Nintendo you would not see them putting all their development teams on a single device that is a portable that outs to a television."
I don't agree with this quote . I think the Switch is where Nintendo was going all along. I don't think it's design was simply a reactionary move because of the lack of success with the Wii U.
"It was fun to see people playing Wii U games on flights that had power, the Wii U console tucked into the seat back in front of them and the GamePad held in their lap."
I call bullshit on this quote. In the 4 years of Wii U's existence, not one time did I EVER see anyone using it as a portable device on a plane. That sounds like a scenario the author pulled out of his ass.
For me GOTY is based on what I had the most fun with and that game would be Ratchet and Clank.
Just curious, if games like Crackdown , Sea of Thieves, and Scalebound interest you, then why wouldn't games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, God of War 4, Spider-Man, Detroit: Become Human, Nier Automata, The Last of Us 2, GT Sport, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy, Ni No Kuni 2, Persona 5, etc?
Agreed 1000%!
I honestly can't wrap my head around why any console gamer would choose to play exclusively on Xbox One over PS4 unless Forza or Halo is THAT important to them. Why choose that platform otherwise when it's weaker, has less exclusives, less diversity in its library, less support, a much crappier interface, slower for downloads, etc. Last generation I could understand simply because games ran better on 360 and had a far better online experience. This gen is a different story in that ...
I didn't buy this but I would definitely pay 10.00 to play Mario Golf on my phone!
Well...I care and that's all that matters to me.
Wrong.
Well...You can't fix stupid :-D. J/K.
Yeah but how much of that is attributed to Pokemon Go and Super Mario Run? The mobile market wont see huge phenomenons like that every year.
@remix116
Also dont forget The Last Guardian and Dragon Quest Builders, two really underrated games, and other future exclusives like Days Gone, Drawn To Death, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Detroit:Become Human, Ace Combat 7, Shenmue 3, Dreams, Matterhorn, etc. The sheer amount of games in the pipeline is insane! This is where MS simply cannot compete. The only true advantage MS has over Sony is backwards compatibility. Sony really narrowed the...
@Obscure_Observer
LOL MS can have all the power in the world but until they start deciding to invest in internal dev studios and build a better portfolio of exclusives, its simply not going to matter.
@Thatguy
To hear Xbots go on about it, you'd think it was Half-Life or Zelda.
Xbox fans love to believe the old OG Xbox ip's like Crackdown, Phantom Dust, Crimson Skies, Battletoads, Mech Assault, etc are timeless classics universally loved by all. When in reality the vast majority of gamers either never heard of them or dont give a rat's ass about them. Yet I hear idiots go on and on like they're freaking Zelda or Smash Brothers.
Thank you ! I keep saying this to my Xbox friends but all they can talk about is backwards compatibility. Don't get me wrong, BC is nice but if it's your system's most coveted feature, what does that say about its current library? Halo, Gears, and Forza are nice (albeit exhausted) IP's but IMO Xbox still lacks an identity and an honest reason to exist, even more so now that's games can be played on PC.
In terms of market penetration, yeah it is, especially when you consider the PS4 has quadrupled that total while being on the market in less time.
The demo is the tits! Fast and fluid mechanics! Emotional snippet of story. Huge boss battle. Varieties of gameplay. What's not to love?
If BC is your system's most.coveted feature, what does that say about its current library?
Was Crash N-Sane trilogy not shown or did I just miss it?
