Got mine pre ordered and fully paid for! I am very excited!
The fact that he listed backwards compatibility shows that he hasn't really been paying attention. Sony has made it crystal clear that the future of backwards compatibility lies directly with Gaikai cloud gaming. When more information on this is ready to be unveiled, Sony will unveil it.
@ Lawking,
What do you mean you don't consider the Tokyo Game Show a major event? It's the "E3" of Japan! How long have you been a gamer??
Agreed!
Zelda: Majora's Mask
Star Fox 64
F Zero 64
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Jet Force Gemini
Banjo Kazooie
ALL of those are more deserving than Perfect Dark
I will choose PS4 for specs AND games!!
Would never happen but..
Bethesda beeyotch!!!
I prefer TLOU over BI but I'd say Bioshock would probably win this in a poll given the fact that it's a multi-platform title.
I have this one pre ordered but I may just cancel. I have a feeling this will be a PS Plus "freebie" down the road.
They don't need to be saying "we're aiming for 60 fps. They need to be talking like Turn 10 and saying "Drive Club WILL be 60 fps at launch." In this day and age, 60 fps for a racing should be a given.
Pachter
"These diamond shoes hurt my feet."
"My wife is too hot."
"I have too much money in the bank."
SO sick of this IP. I will not be purchasing Black Flag.

Oh good grief! I'm sure you're a lot of fun live with.
But WHY does it have to be Zelda??? What's wrong with investing in a brand new action RPG franchise and introduce new characters? I just don't get gamers who say "Oh I want a new Zelda I want a new Zelda!" Folks move on! Zelda has been done to death! The franchise is not THAT special to deserve to be milked to this degree!
I don't want a Wii U price drop! I want Nintendo to suck it up like they did with Virtual Boy and declare "do over" status. I want them to come off that multi BILLION dollar war chest they have amassed and invest some of it back into real hardware R&D so their systems are no longer at a performance disadvantage compared to the competition.
Agreed 100% about Metroid! It has the potential to be an epic series if Nintendo would just up it's production value and hire someone to write a real compelling story to go along with it! Not to mention develop a killer online multiplayer feature to go with it! It really could be Nintendo's "Halo" if handled correctly!
I feel the same way about Star Fox. Can you imagine the epic online dog fights that could be had with that series??
I don't get why people would still want to play PS1 and PS2 games at this point anyway. They look ugly as F_ _ ck on HDTV's. I'd rather re purchase HD remixes.
I think 84.00 per year is OK for non Plus subscribers. However if you're already a Plus subscriber that price is way too much to honest. If you already are paying 59.99 per year for basic Plus, I could see maybe Sony offering a "Premium" Plus package for say, 89.99 that includes Gaikai streaming. Not many are going to pay 85 bucks for Gaikai on top of the 59.99 they're already paying for Plus.
Like others have said, I think it's going to be subscription based "buffet" style ala Netflix. I'm fine with that seeing as how I don't even own physical copies of PS1 and PS2 games anymore. The question is, what will it cost? I'm thinking that Sony is going to introduce a tiered PS Plus system where you'll pay a less expensive subscription fee for basic Plus without Gaikai and a more expensive fee for "Premium" Plus that includes Gaikai.
The problem however is that gamers like me don't give a shit anymore about Mario. I mean, damn we all know that Mickey Mouse is THE main character for Disney but even they introduce new characters from time to time! Nintendo has not created a significant new IP in forever! They keep rinse and repeating the same old formulaic crap and yet for some strange reason they can get away with it...
Mario
Zelda
Metroid
Pokémon
Kirby
P...
I'm not fulfilled by anything. The point I was trying to make was that you seem to indicate that Sony isn't addressing this at all when clearly that's not the case. I think Sony's track record is pretty darn good on delivering what they set out to deliver so I see no reason at this point to doubt them.
