NBA 2K and MLB The Show are unquestionably the best 2 sports franchises of this generation! I'm glad VC prefers PS4!

It sure as hell mattered to a lot of Xbot 360 fanboys when websites like The Lens of Truth would do those side by side comparisons of PS3/360 versions. Funny how suddenly graphics don't matter anymore now that the PS4 is clearly the more powerful console.

Fundamentally this is why I do not like, nor do I respect MS as a player in the video game industry. Rather than developing a strong in-house development community, they use their financial clout to buy their competitive advantages. For those of you saying "it's all about the multiplayer anyway" why does it have to be either/or? Is it too damn much to ask for a complete package? Halo does it. Killzone does it. The Last of Us did it. I cannot understand why developers suddenly think SP isn't important. I like muliplayer but I also like SP campains as well. No excuse for not delivering on both! 4 hours is a joke!
Part of the problem may be that we've seen so little of it! All that Evolution showed at E3 and TGS was the "ghost" mode. Plus to me the graphics, while they look pretty, just aren't very dynamic. Not a whole lot is going on as far as track side detail goes. I understand that with a racing game, especially one that tries to go for realism, there's only so much you can throw on the screen to catch your eye. Still, the trackside detail doesn't really "pop.&qu...
Yeah, I would much rather see them get this game to 60fps. Perhaps they should take a cue from DICE and make it 900p and then upscale it to 1080p. The difference would be hardly noticable at all!
That and more realistic facial expression. Instead of looking like real life, the models look like very well made wax figure replicas of the players. Something in the faces still looks off.
I'm looking forward to next gen but I somewhat agree with you. I don't see a huge difference between current gen and next gen in these picture. Those who claim there's a massive leap....placebo effect!
I can barely tell a difference in those 2 pictures TBH. I think much of what people think they are seeing is simply placebo effect.
MANY current gen games ran sub 720p resolution and nobody noticed or cared. All this squabble about 1080p is being perpetrated by PC nerds who thinks it all somehow adds inches to their dicks.
Without seeing a direct side by side comparison, I doubt there will be any discernible difference between true 1080p and 900p upscaled to 1080p. I'm all for developers using this resolution if that's what it takes to maintain a smooth, consistent frame rate.
