I think they meant a ticket to the "epileptic" party...
;)
Lord...
The game is not 5 hour long... It's more than that.
Even though there's basically no stealth, you need to plan a bit your moves many parts so you can . If you run everytime just to pass through without actually trying to have fun with the game then maybe it can get 5 hours short, but seriously.... Who would do that?
There's a difference between enjoyment and flat out better quality of a game.
I have always enjoyed playing Splinter Cell games much more... The core gameplay, at least on the first 3 games, was VERY fun and engaging for my tastes.
However, I can't dismiss the fact that the MGS franchise has always been a much better package of quality. From presentation, humor, creativity, story to nostalgia, emotion, fun gameplay, sound, cool camera use, etc.
If...
The main reason Kojima set the embargo to end so late was because of story spoilers and stuff. We basically knew MGS4 was going to be great and its story (even though it sucks for some) is way more complex and has a lot more history.
Conviction story isn't that complex or even interesting compared to others games (first 3 games didn't even have story aside from the usual terrorist threats). It's a fun story, but nothing major to actually end the embargo at release date becaus...
Arhur... I have one I think, but I don't use LIVE. I don't even connect the ethernet cable to my 360.
Do I need to have a gamertag on N4G for me to play Conviction on the 360?? lol
Been available for quite a few days already... ;)
@ force...
Yeah the walls showing you everything you needed to do next didn't bothered me visually, they just bothered me because they were basically telling you EVERYTHING.
The game is fun don't get me wrong and I'm sure many gamers will enjoy it. I was just waiting for a better quality game overall and my expectations for Splinter Cell games are always high in terms of fun gameplay.
Oh and thanks for reminding me the worst design desicion Ubisof...
Ok... I'm almost at the end of the game and while I really don't know how much time it has taken me to get there, it doesn't feel like 5 hours at all.
However, I have to say that even though the game is not bad perse and it isn't broken, it's just not of the caliber of the old ones.
I'm a Splinter Cell fanboy since the first and It has always been difficult for me to find a game that could satisfy my inner gaming child as much as the SC franchise did, but this ga...
Ok Ubisoft, this is my answer to you... GO F*CK YOURSELF.
Why is it so difficult for 360 fanatics to grasp what Alan Wake is doing and will do with cut-scenes that differentiates from the most recent great looking PS3 exclusives??
I wonder if they really aren't understanding or they are just not acknowledging it for the sake of their..... pride??? Beats me.
I keep reading some of their comments and I get dizzy rolling me eyes.
Like many genres in every medium, some suffer due to differences in generations... Horror is suffering at least in movies and video games, but books and novels are still strong.
Also, genres transcend mechanics and styles in time so they can find a place among the changes of our appeals and ways of thinking.
I was one that loved horror movies and games, now I just can't get much fun from them... My strong appeal for them just went out the window without a notic...
Just as I respect most of the PS3 first party developers who put their 100% effort into the end product, I respect remedy for their intense and long hard work towards Alan Wake.
Even if the game does not appeal much to me (due to the horror aspect), I have to tip my hat for developers (Remedy in this case) who give their best into releasing a great video game experience.
GOW3 is a 100% must buy, period. The only reason you wouldn't buy it is because you simply despise the genre.
Well coming from the developers of a franchise that has always had mediocre animations, I can only be skeptical.
"BOOOOOM HEADSHOT"
"Can work both ways, but it dont right now, because i am dealing with someone special."
lol
What a funny (in a sad way) comeback...
Just make another action game based on modern times and make it as epic as GOW3...
I salute Evan and ND for keeping their focus and 100% effort into one franchise and not try to make a J&D game knowing that it wouldn't have all their effort behind it.
We lose for not getting the game, but we also win when we play Uncharted because all their hard work is aimed at it.
and in other news.....
Superman lost his cape.
