All I hear or read from Cliff now is... blah blah blah I'm awesome aren't I blah blah blah
@ killer
I think my point went right over your head...
I don't want it because I don't have the time to reach the real potential of this game.
I don't want it because the way it plays doesn't grab me like other games do.
I don't want it because I don't get much fun any more from side-scrolling platformers.
Catch my drift??
I do understand how big of a game it will be and I wish I wanted it, but I don't.
That crap about MS showing their games late in the year is a myth.
They always leave the obvious (the Gears's, Fable's, Halo's, etc.) unannounced/semi-announced games for E3 so they can make fanboys rejoice on the fictional idea that they have secret new games coming.
Sony just needs to leave the online gaming, PSN Store, Home and any other feature that does not involve improvement of the online "gaming" experience, for free...
They can make a premium account and charge for any feature implemented to improve the online gaming experience like cross game chat and crap like that.
That's as fair as it gets and I know many people will fork the money for the premium account. Win-win situation.
E3 is not a competition, but if I had to choose the best presentations these past few years then it would have to be Sony.
However, Microsoft always offer great presentations.
Nothing wrong about a dev happy for their game and the urge to make more for the fans.
I'm sure they expected more from the critical reception, but 85% is great considering how many great games this gen has brought.
Alan Wake atmosphere and story are so spot on that I've been able to give a pass to basically everything else, which is lacking.
The game story holds this game together pretty nicely.
Bungie probably wanted to makes games for all consoles a long time ago, but the situation didn't favoured them.
Now they can... At the cost of Activision, but now they can.
lol
I think you need some N4G mainsite time off or a nice "one week" vacation in the forums.
You've been getting worse by the week since more or less a year ago.
It might not be a full retail sale profit, but they sure get money from each rent or whatever deal they have with companies that rent video games.
It definitely needs to be on a console to be appreciated much more. At least for me...
Handhelds IMO are good for simple games concentrated on creative gameplay rather than great production values, great story and overall package.
The new GOW game will show some of the origins of Kratos's cool aspects like his tattoo and his suffering, etc. That would be an awesome PS3 game in HD like GOW3 is.
That's just my opinion of course....
Well the game is cool and the atmosphere is what gets this game going (aside from cool controls).
Visuals look good sometimes in motion, but the overall look of the game is not as impressive as many said or wanted it to be.
***my bad for the noobish mistake*** ^^^^^
I don't care what game they create, but if the make another game similar to GOW even if it involves another mythology, then I want Kratos in.
If they plan on making a different game entirely then by all means I hope they go wild with new ideas and characters.
lol
Apparently he thought about logging in with another account, but forgot to actually do it...
Considering the franchise's popularity and how they dumbed down the game and basically turned it into flatout action for mass appeal, it didn't sell as I thought.
Still 500k in a week is a whole LOT.
I'm happy for those who enjoyed the game. In my case, Conviction left a sour taste in my mouth that will never be removed unless Ubi goes back to the old Splinter Cell.
I really doubt a game like Alan Wake would even be 15 hours long. It's just not beneficial for a linear survival horror game IMO.
It would get stale and boring after a while and even more when the game is a bit slow and pacific in a way with hardly any action, etc.
Anyway, 8 to 12 hours long is quite enough for a single player linear game like Alan Wake.
Red Dead will be my only buy in May...
We already have 3 critically acclaimed exclusives with satisfying gameplay out (Heavy Rain, The Show, GOW3)... There's Modnation Racers coming, GT5 is coming as well and we can also expect The Last Guardian to release this year.
3 exclusive games so far this year is more than enough... We can probably expect an Insomniac game this year also and some cool announcements.
How you can ask for games when Sony has been pumping quality exclusive after exclusive is beyo...
lol
