Hmm, I hope they get going in making games lol.
But then since it's so easy to port PS3 games (CRAZY!!) I guess it would already be able to launch with a huge catalogue from the PSN list...
Tbh, PSN games are exactly what a portable should play, lighter, addictive, great games that don't require 40+ hours to finish.
98% sure that wont happen, they only changed the interface due to the touch screen, I'm sure if they didn't have a touch screen they would just port the PS3's XMB with all of it's extra features (dynamic themes etc) to the PSP2.
I like the PS3's XMB, but it really does need a facelift, even if they just reorganised some things instead of having the clutter of icons, or re-design PSN area of the XMB with different friends list layouts etc...
That is amazing!
Wonder how hot it gets after an hours worth of gaming, there is alot of power packed into there!
Glad the touchscreen is capactive too, nothing worth than an unresponsive inaccurate resitive touchscreen.
:( Makes sense though, TBH XMB on PSP1 looks outdated now.
It still looks good on PS3 because of all the FW updates..
WOW! that looked amazing!
Those graphics are really PS3 2007 quality! and these are first gen demos.
As for the back touch panel, I was wondering why it was needed but after seeing this it looks to make games alot more fun and interactive!
Can't wait for more info on it.
4-5 hours is ok, I can't see myself playing it for more than an hour at a time, it's meant to be a portable, not a console where you sit at home and play.
iPad has 10+ battery life though, this is the ONLY thing that is putting me off.
I was planning on getting iPad2 (since it's meant to have dual-core etc) and use it for watching movies etc, BUT, I would prefer a PSP2...Just only for games, not for watching things on.
They will have to price aggressively, it's like with PS3, casuals don't understand why it is more expensive, it's really annoying.
I remember telling people over and OVER again about why PS3 was so expensive a few years ago, with bluray etc.
aawww got me hopes up for a new FW to go along with PSP2 or something then haha :(
Hope this patch helps to find hacked ps3s!
I want more intergration with PSN, trophies, more options for friends/game profiles etc.
That would really be a big plus to PS3 owners over the Nintendo 3DS, people would prob prefer to get a PSP2 game over a 3DS to get the trophies for PSN profile and play online with friends..
Was the first one really sh*t too? I remember playing the demo and actually thinking it was quite good, especially since so many star wars game fail.
if it has a multi-touch display I highly doubt a stylus will come with it! Since I'm guessing the OS and games will take advantage of the multi-touch and since most screens now are capacitive (as they all should be!) you need a special kind of stylus for it to be recognised.
It may have some of the same tech as the ps3 (like the cell processor) but smaller versions and will probably be under-clocked to keep it from sucking all the power or generating too much heat.
Even if it was going to try for the same quality of visuals etc of the ps3, it only has to display them on a tiny screen in comparison to a 42 inch 1080p/60fps display, so much less power will be needed to push the visuals under a lower resolution.
I like the design and it makes sense to slide controls since all of the media functions etc can be navigated using the touchscreen.
I can't wait for the PSP2, especially with a smaller version of the cell processor inside! Which they will prob under-clock therefore saving alot of battery and keep it cool, but would still pump out amazing visuals on a screen that size!!
Would put apples A4 in the iPhone4 to total shame.
And the amount of f...
I will stick with Wifi, guessing the 3G Models will be more expensive like on the iPad.
As for the Cell processor being used :O, that is going to own!
They will under clock it so it uses less power and less heat but is still really powerful enough to pump out amazing graphics!
The ONLY thing that concerns me is battery life, I hope it lasts a while and doesn't burn out quick with all the features.
Also, anyone think PSN might get ...
I think that's right, smartphone games are only getting better and better each year and they are like at max £5 and last for hours of addictive gaming.
I don't see the point in a PSP2/3DS now really, You pay about 4X if not more the price for a game that is really just a feature stripped, lesser version in all ways of the console opposites.
Even if PSP2 has amazing graphics and features, really, people just want fun addictive games to play on the...
I prefer less people, All of K2 seems it was designed to be more strategic and work as a team, not run out on your own taking down as many other players with you lol.
I doubt this is true since we would have heard ENDLESS articles of people complaining about it by now.
And jjohan35 is right, how can they have this but playing a game that's rented seems to be fine? (thats rented by hundreds of people)
@PS3n360
I'm sure Sony will find a way to locate the hackers online somehow, just a matter of time before they get banned/bricked.
Id say best overall version is 100% on PS3, since the PS3 version comes with codes to BOTH Mac AND PC codes!!
You get 3 games in 1!
Wonder how the ps3 players will hold up against PC gamers haha, finally mouse vs controller?
I'd say mouse would win but some people I've seen online are crazy good with a controller! I'm actually worse at FPS now with a mouse than I am controller, because I've gotten so used to it.
This interface looks really fluid and fun to use!
Much more suited to a portable, I like the way everything has nice animations (like when the icons shake when changing app pages etc).
Couldn't see this working on ps3 like people have claimed...
