^^ lol....we are borg?
@Shadow Flare
It's because a Sony Rep said in an article yesterday that they were looking into features like in-game video/Cross-game chat while re-building the PSN and to "Expect a huge update when the network is back up".
I'm actually surprised more people didn't latch onto this!
Don't see it happening at all though.
But I wouldn't mind if Sony kept all of these people around to actually create...
^^ That sounds like a quote from Terminator 3 *Pukes
They must be totally re-doing everything PSN or something, if they are looking at adding cross-game chat etc.
I don't really understand why they couldn't do this beforehand though, guess it wasn't a question of if the PS3 can do it, more of if Sony will pay for it..
Plus, that Sony rep said to expect a huge update when the network is back up?
Hopefully they will keep all of these new resources around and actually give us some FW features, since they gave up on that.
Especially since a Sony rep said to expect a huge update when PSN is up and running?!
I think this shows more of the in-experience Sony has more than whether PSN or XBL is better.
MS has had alot of online experience, with all of the security exploits in IE etc, they have learned and moved on to build more stable systems/software with less security holes for hackers to take advantage of.
Sony is still learning, but atleast they are improving too.
Just look how long it took for the PS3 to be hacked compared to the PSP!! and the PS3 hack...
I do blame Sony, you prepare for this kind of thing and hope it doesn't happen.
They seemed to be oblivious that anyone would even think of trying to bring down PSN and that hackers only attack websites..
I don't really feel for them. It was their fault for cutting corners and not having a 100% secure system for ALL INFO in the first place.
There were obviously things they could have done, since they are doing them now, to make it more secure, but I'm sure they thought didn't need to, and since it's a free service didn't want to spend millions more than what was needed on it.
I mean, who would really try and hack the entire PSN!?.......
Fake.
Sony said that credit info wasn't stolen, if it was that would seriously come back on them 2X more than if they admitted it.
I'm guessing Credit info is stored on a more secure separate servers?
Maybe this is where the cut costs come into play with the free Network?
Ye I can see where you are coming from, I actually thought it was composed by Yamaoka before I looked the soundtrack up.
He might have been like an adviser for the movie composer or something though, like Bear McCreary was for Battlestar in the mini-series to someone with a background in composing, because he had never done something that big before, then was promoted to compose soley for the series.
I'm sure he is getting some sort of Royalties and was c...
I dont think Anon were the cause anyway, I think it was just some random hackers p*ssed at Sony.
I doubt they would lie and say it was attacked...but you never know.
hhmm, somehow I doubt only 1 person's credit card details out of millions of PSN accounts has been hacked, Large % probably have cards signed up too.
I think Nintendo want to separate themselves from Sony and MS and want to have different cycles etc.
That looks really fake.
Don't see much point in there being a huge screen on your controller anyway, you rarely actually look at your controller when playing.
You would have to keep it plugged in or recharge it every 8 hours or something.
Maybe a smaller screen on the current Wii controller, could be useful and not take up as much power.
Like to tell you how much ammo you have left or something.
Maybe they could smooth this all over by releasing a FW tomorrow that included cross-game chat? hahah.
Wii is SO far behind the other consoles in terms of features etc, the Wii2 needs to bring alot to justify it's inevitable higher price.
The Wii is just as expensive as an Xbox 360 here, how the f*ck can they get away with that!?
With the tech inside the Wii it should be sold for under £70, but it goes for more than double that.
They need to sort out their mess of an online system and friends lists.
Need to actually include so...
^^ I think he did it more out of respect for the fans and gamers who would probably prefer to hear the familiar music/sounds they know from the game.
If they did something that wasn't like the game at all, do you really think more people would have been ok with that? Than if they actually payed attention to the things that made Silent Hill what it is - prob the most identifiable being the Sound Design.
He did also put his "own spin" on it, it wa...
^^ Yes he did Black Swan too, soundtrack at the end of that film was so good.
Guessing ME3 will have a different feel/sound but he will probably use some of the familiar themes from ME 1&2, just expand on them and make them his own.
Since there are character themes for most of the characters/races etc, he will probably use them in some form and expand on them.
Or he could totally re-write all of the themes, which I would guess the devs would not w...
tbh I think PSN went down at the worst time!
It has been a bank holiday weekend, and I have been constantly wanting to chill and play some online games, I'm sure there are ALOT of people wanting to do the same, while they are off work etc.
Portal came out, with loads of online steam features etc for PS3, with PS3 to PC games etc but with PSN down, there is no one using any of these features or servers, they must be really p/o this happened just as their...
lol, well I laughed, it's only a joke, get a grip haha
I don't just come on this site to read serious boring essays on the meaning of gaming or sales statistics.
Is this your first time viewing N4G? lol
