Actually the only reason I bought the following games.
Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Mirrors Edge, Dead Space, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Farcry 2, Red Alert 3 etc etc
was because there was cracks available. I don't go online to register games I paid for. You don't call up for an activate code for your car when you want to drive it, having to register online or bow to insane illegal EULA's is B.S.

They have online gaming subscriptions and DLC so they can rip people off even more.
Let's do the 'value for money' maths.
Last gen a $60 game would have got you 20hrs of SP gaming as well as offline/co-op MP with bots as well as potentially online.
Now games are 6-8hrs with online only MP with map packs to ensure you have to buy them to stay active with the MP...

Yeah I don't just buy FPS games, but those games were hyped to good god and let me down.
Starcraft 2 was probably the most overrated game of last year, so there are disappointments in all genres.
There is a lot more variety in games coming out this year.
The fact that is has stayed true to it's roots for 20 years and has not added in achievements for getting 500 rupies etc, lol @ achievements/trophies.

Last year the hype machine told me AVP3 was going to be amazing, that BFBC2 was going the be the best thing since sliced bread among many others. As the layers of B.S stripped away I realised that half the games I had on my 'to buy' list were going to be crap, the ones I bought...were also disappointing.
Why don't they just announce the game 6 months befor...

I thought the dialogue sounded like it would get old fast in all the preview vids, but people are saying there are a lot a anus and faeces references, you can tell it was targeted to a much younger audience than me.

I don't own a 360 and I don't even mention KZ3 because linear console shooters don't appeal to me, especially when the FOV is 55 and they have a mud filter and no colour palette.

No I'm affraid you are mistaken.
Dirt 2 uses 128bit HDR, tesselation, full 3d environments and massive draw distances.
I played maxed in dx11 with 32csaa and get a 60 frame minimum, keep telling yourself that GT5 looks better, even the hardcore fans can admit that it looks like crap, and don't believe everything you read on the internet ;)

It performs less than half as good as a 5870. and a 5870 CANNOT run crysis at the frame rates you are lying about. You would be lucky to get 25 frames on all high at 1080p in crysis.

It doesn't even use real tie lighting, it's all deferred rendering. HDR is aPC standard.
Crysis had 128bit HDR, console games use no more than 16 bit.
Resident evil 5 on PC has 64 HDR, FC2 uses 128 bit.
Even deferred rendering looks better on PC.

wtf...the motherboard manuals and respective component manuals tell you how to install the hardware and configure the software frm start to finish. The only thing needed to build your own PC is basic literacy and basic motor function control.
If you can't build a PC you have not even tried, or are an infant.
I built my first PC in 2007, no 'online guides' needed, no help, just bought the parts, and put them togethe...

If you have any idea how much more linear UC2 and KZ2/3 will be compared to crysis maybe you wouldn't be so ignorant, but you don't get that an open game has much more to render, you know all those trees along side the train sequence in UC2....they are 2d...
That is something you just don't see in crysis 2.
