The console manufacturers need retailers to sell their stuff. They can't cut them out or they won't sell any hardware to begin with. remmeber the PSPGO. Gamestop and several other large retailers either refused to stock it, or did absolutely nothing to promote it, because they couldn't make any money off of the thing.
Result. Its a collosal failure and Sony lose a wedge of cash on it.
It's on steam. ALternatively you could try and track it down on DC if you really want to. It's still my favourite QD game even now, the soundtrack kicks ass ( Thanks David Bowie), it mixes genres in interesting ways and quite ahead of its time in a lot of ways.
It hasn't aged that well graphically but at the time (1999) it was incedible. I think the best way o describe it as like a cross between shen mue and messiah.

Interesting that, I've never felt compeled towards violent acts when i'm playing a videogame, but whenever i eee Charmed on the TV I want to hurl a brick at it.
I saw him give a talk about Heavy Rain last year, and his heart is certainly in the right place. If you get the chance to go to something where he's talking about narrative in games and quantic dreams work you should go. He's very insightful, and certainly bellieves in the story telling and artistic potential of the medium.
Whether you like his work or not here's no denying his passion. But yeah i agree he does come across as someone who plants the entire burden ...
Good lord i didn't realise that David Cage was a ghost. Game's have had stories that rival movies for years now.
It works fine online when there's 12 of you playing it. I don't know why they changed it, but the rest of the game is so damn good i don't see why it's that much of an issue.
All publishers embargo certain aspects of their games, story spoilers are usually specifically covered in the embargo agreements.
I think its a little early to say. there are still two more episodes left of season 2. So far i'd agree that season one is the stronger season though. S2 so far just seems a bit unfocused and meandering.
