I totally agree. It was one of last years best RPGs. Mechanically it did so much more to push the genre forward than any other game in the genre did.
We already sort of did via the episodes they released for Project Spark.
Yes, the only option. Bollocks is it. It was not the only option at all.
They could have , oh i don't know, kept it as one epic game. You know like the original was, make it something sweeping and genre defining. the only reason its been carved up is that SQuuenix seem to think this is the way forward.
Something that's already been disproven by the likes of the Witcher 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X and every other massive RPG that's come out this gen...
Of course, the only way to have a valid opinion on anything relating to the industry is to be the owner of a major publisher my mistake...
I'd go further, Life is Strange just doesn't work. it can't even keep a consistent set of rules for how time travel works in its own narrative or gameplay.
It would have been better if they'd just cut all the Sci Fi elements and just had the balls to make a game about a teen coming to terms with being an adult and all the messed up goings on in her hometown.
Definitely an unpopular opinion. But with good reason, If it was a film it would have been panned just as harshly. it doesn't end for a start. it just feels unfinished, like you only got half a game. there's absolutely zero resolution to anything.
it reminded me a lot of Force Unleashed 2. a game with a lot of potential that was completely squandered. though i do feel that if it had been a launch titles as was originally intended it would have fared down a lot better....
And you can tell this from an interview and two trailers?
Them's some skills.
Yet I bet you'll insist that reviewers have to play a game from beginning to end in order to accurately assess it... Especially if you disagree with them.
I'm going to buy it when it comes out next year on PS4. I'm quite looking forward to it actually. I just don't see the point in buying an Xbone for the sake of one game I can happily wait for. espaically with the uncharted collection/4 to play in the interim.
I have a feeling there are a lot of people in a similar boat to me.
What i'm saying is that the game and series is far from sunk, and as far as deals go the only party that actually got...
The only reason Rise hasn't done as well as it could have was because they stupidly released it on the same day as Fallout 4.
that's it. End of. Timed exclusivity had nothing to do with it. If anything it's saved the game in the long run because had it just come out on all three systems at once, it still would not have done very well.
Now at least the PC and PS4 versions will hopefully come out when the game will have had a little breathing room....
I love it too, it's the game Final Fantasy XIII should have been and a perfect example of why Squares latest ramblings about not being able to make a game like FFVII on modern consoles is utter tosh.
I would love to see this and Last Story get remastered. Hell I'd settle for The Last Story getting a VC release on the WiiU. I really can't wait to see what Mystwalkers' next game is.
With their recent dealings and Devil's Third being released for PC, this is probably the most likely thing to happen.
Yeah i don't think they care about that anymore. PC is another MS platform. It might not sell them Xbones, but far more people own PCs anyway and if they make it Windows 10 exclusive then it will convince some to upgrade, which in the long run make MS far more money than the tiny margins on Xbones.
"But... they didn't chose the game... that i wanted... WAAAAAA!!!!!"
Seriously these articles need to stop. I prefer the indie game approach, i know that the AAA games i buy aren't going to end up free on PS+ in a few months and I get a ton of great games i wouldn't have played otherwise.
Gauntlet and Kings Quest are really great games, as is Freedom Wars.
At the end of the first God of War, it is stated that Kratos remains the god of war for all time.
He's not bound to the Greek pantheon at all. Especially after murdering them all by the end of III.
I think they should start over with a different pantheon and a new protagonist. Kratos is done.
I think how many people adopt PSVR is going to depend a hell of a lot on how much it costs.
if it's say £200, i could see people getting it so long as it has a decent amount of software for it. £3-400 I think it'll struggle.
Running a train on our freedoms, seriously... I think the real reason is that no bugger buys these kinds of games in the west, and the likes of target and Wallmart won't stock them.
Yeah, you could piss and whinge that you can't play this game, and blame it on women that are sick iof being objectified, and want a better standard of video games. Or alternatively you could import it, or and here's a really controversial idea. Actually try and have a conversation w...
He's going to get one of those lovely cease and desist orders pretty soon.
Not sure he understands how copyright works at all. If you reverse engineer something, you're using their code. PlayStation, PS4 are all Sony trademarks, this app breaks into their systems.
Basically there are a million ways in which Sonys lawyers can smack him about the face and shut it down.
if he'd kept it free he could have said it's fair use and h...
"few will ever get to experience it" Not sure why the writer thinks that. it's coming out for the PC and PS4 next year, and probably at a slightly reduced rate or with DLC to make up for the delay.
No games shouldn't emulate cinema. They should try and copy books, They have a lot more in common.
Yeah I didn't find them complicated at all. The way each mission type meshed together and it all added to the overall narrative. It certainly wins the award for best game that no bugger played.
It was also another one of those games that used the WiiU pad perfectly as well. I do wonder if the WiiU would be doing a lot better if it had launched with last years line up and bayo 2 for good measure.
