They already have released it outside of Japan. In fact its been available everywhere except the US for months.

MS are supporting Oculous Rift instead, and have just made hololens, which is jus as impressive just in a differnt way.

Meanwhile Nintendo made a VR device years ago. You may have heard of it...

As far as Sony and innovation. Pah, they build on the work of others and always play it incredibly safe. they haven't brought anything actually innovative to the table as far as gaming is concerned.... well, ever.

Really, last time I checked their most successful piece of hardware atm don't have disc drives. If this was the successor to the 3DS, people wouldn't be pissing and maoning about a lack of disc drive. Nintendo could be going digital only or have decided to use memory cards on a home console. The price of flash memory has plumetted especially for their needs. you can buy a 32gb micro SD for a fiver now.

So its really not beyond the realms of possibility that they'...

\I dont see a problem with this PC gamings basically been discless for the best part of a decade now. The xbone and PS4, offer clear benefits for going digital only. As do the 3ds and vita.

Nintendo, as per usual, are just the first console maker to make something mandatory so people have to use it. If this means we end up with cheaper games on their storefront since they don't have to worry about physical distribution and nintendo's own version of steam sales i can o...

You can pick up a wiimote for £10-15 if youlook online, and the classic controller for about the same.

Moreover the entie point of BC for the wii was that you already owned a wii when you bought the wiiu so you would already have all the controllers. You can also use the wii functions of the machine with off tv play. Fair enough you still need a wiimote but its a cool feature all the same.

yet. Its been confirmed that its coming to PC later this year.

same way ryse, dead rising 3, fable legends, gears, the master chief collection and rise of the tomb raider wouldn't..... It's not a never its a not at launch type thing, they all probably will eventually especially seeing as MS are trying to step away from xbox being a console and being a platform instead.

Back to the Future. There was a ton of references in LEGO Jurassic World too, so its quite likely.

Any of these would be great as well.... http://wasduk.com/2015/02/1...

Urgh. In Canada and the US they pay tax on top of the list price. So its $179+VAT. The UK price is including VAT. Therefor it probably works out to be about the same.

Actually, thre more N4 games on WiiU than Xone, just by pure virtue that the WiiU is 100% BC with the Wii meaning you already have access to the Wii's pretty vast collection of N64 games. But you know. lets ignore key features that WiiU has had out of the box because it completely fucks up the 'press' narrative that the WiiU has nothing goignt for it.

A handful of 360 will work on X1 OMG 'this is the greatest thing ever.' WiiU launches with 100%BC for the...

Nothing they don't need saving. Though the WiiU hasn't done that well they have had a monopoly on the handheld market for almost thirty years and a shedload of money in the bank.

Finanacially they're actually in a much safer position than Sony are.

Creatively they've got the most critically acclaimed exclusive line up of all the current gen consoles.

So what exactly are they being saved from. They're nothin like SEGa th...

I'd agree with Nintendo. The biggesst innovations to come out of this gen were on the WiIU and thanks to the pad. I'd say the biggesst one is remote play/ off tv play. The gamepad spearheaded that.

The PS4 and the Xbone don't do anything innovative they just do things well. To the guys yelling oooh shareplay. Yeah Sony inherrited that when they bought out Gaiki and Onlive. Which had the feature ages ago.

well the PS4 is now the only current gen machine that isn't BC. Both the WiiU and xbox one are. It's not like Sony couldn't make the PS4 do it easily enough either. Simply make it so that when you shove a PS3 game disc in it gives you access to it on PSNow for free. same way the xbone downloads a copy of it to your library, cept it wont take up space needed for new games.

The entire point of this is that the game won't be as good on other consoles because the gamepad is so intregal to the experience. Looks at Rayman Legends. Sure you don't need the pad to play it on PS4 or Xbone, but the WiiU verison is easily the best version of that game because of it.

I doubt something like Affordable space adventures would work with a standard control scheme either.

there's only 3 million differnce in sales between the xbone and WiiU. sure its been out a year longer but consiering how poorly marketed the WiiU has been i'd say its done pretty well all things considered.

'could become a real competitor again' last time I checked they pretty much own the handheld market and have done for the past 20 odd years.

No the 8th gen started in 2012 with the release of the WiiU.

I think if the witcher 3 has taught us anything its that if you take the time and effort you can have an open world game with a rediculous amount of fine details and interesting quests.
