Hey what's wrong with Panasonic?
My last two plasma TVs have been Panasonic and they are of awesome quality.
I'd put money on them releasing the next Xbox in 2010.

I liked the story/world/characters in FFXII but I found the battle system to be worse than FFX overall.
I liked the basic mechanics of it but I am a player who likes to do subquests/exploring etc before the end of the game and I ended up maxing everything out before I was even three quarters through the main quest.
I was very annoyed about this because as I said I enjoyed the other parts of the game but in this area it is as if the designers didn't think things throu...
The only character who was worse than Tidus was Yuna. Worthless, whiny, airheads. In fact the whole FFX cast sucked as bad as the game did.
FFVIII is a masterpeice. The whole beauty of the draw system was that you had to always had to choose whether to use the most powerful magic spells or hoard them in order to boost your stats.
I had so much fun searching for hidden draw points all the time, always on the look out for just one more Ultima spell so I could raise my...
FFVIII is my favourite game of all time, not just RPG.
What about a world map? There hasn't been one since the Playstation One days (FFIX) and it is very important to me that they include one in FFXIII.
Surely the PS3/360 can allow them to get this part right.

You make a good point about the PS3. It probably would be better to go from Windows PC > Linux PC > Linux PS3.
I think I will make it my new years resolution to become a Linux user.
I wish I used Linux.
But I've been using Windows since I learned to type and I am quite comfortable with it. So comfortable in fact that I think I would probably have to get a whole second computer to try Linux out on just until I'm 100% used to it.
Installing Firefox two years ago opened my eyes to what is out there but a completely new OS is a pretty big step.
I think it would probably be too much of an inconvenience for me to have to relearn everythin...

I predict MS winding down production on exclusive 360 games in 2009 to get ready for the release of the 720 at the end of the year/ early 2010.
My reasons for thinking this are: the poor 2009 lineup, the recent closing down of their game studios and the fact that price of a 360 nowadays costs about as much as a faulty ham sandwich.

I can only think of one reason why you wouldn't want to show any gameplay footage of a game after close to four years of development.
That reason is shame, arrogance, deception.
Okay that's three reasons, but seriously what exactly is the harm in showing off your game if it actually any good?
If this is all just some kind of marketing strategy then it is the most fan insulting one I've ever heard of.
