Looks awesome.
Coop is where it's at, especially when it comes to local multiplayer.
I think it's refreshing to be able to have all of your friends on the same side for a change rather than being so competitive with each other all the time.
When all of the anger and aggression is directed at the computer the atmosphere is a lot nicer/more relaxed.
Having each others backs > at each others throats :P
It kind of sounds like they've found a middle ground.
They're not going to produce games for both the Xbox 720 and the Xbox 360 at the same time, but they're also not stopping support for the Xbox 360 altogether. Instead they're going to release Xbox 720 games exclusively that will still work on a Xbox 360 as well, but look/run worse.
I'm skeptical that it can be done but if they can 100% guarantee that the Xbox 360 won't hold the the next generation consoles' games ...
Private screenings just annoy me.
It makes it seem as if they have something to hide and that the devs aren't proud of or don't have have enough faith in their own work.
I agree. The main characters in JRPG's lately are all just a bunch of whiny pre-teens who like to wear girls clothes regardless of what gender they are.
I didn't like it when I was a teenager myself and I'm finding it even more frustrating now that I'm grown up.
I miss the days when JRPGS were more geared towards adults and had adult characters like in FFVI & FFVII.
FFXIII and Versus are looking promising in this regard though.
I think it's been quite a few years now since Square have been on top quality wise.
I had a lot of fun playing Uncharted. It's the game that got me exited about games again after (imo) a pretty disappointing last gen.
Every part of Uncharted is done to such a high standard. I especially like the sound in the game.
Sure I would of loved it if the game was a bit longer but at the same time I feel that Uncharted ended exactly where it game should have ended.
There is never a point where you feel like you are doing busy work. The story play...
Still looking forward to this game though. I hope we get a demo soon.
People are selling brand new unopened 40gb ps3s for around $500 AUD every week.
Sony include free PS3's with a lot of their HDTV deals and most of the people who get the deal don't know what to do with a PS3 and they sell them.
My friend managed to score a brand new 40gb (with Sixaxis controller) a while ago for $450. It's such a good deal I actually picked up a second PS3 for myself (with Dual Shock 3) for $500 last week, to use as a media server.
It looks so good that it could break your brain.
For Western Australia the weekly update is usually around 6:30pm - 8:00pm every Thursday (+ 2 hrs for eastern states).
In any case the game should be available in the next hour and twenty or so minutes friend.
Looks like a good selection of racers this week.
They should just take whatever money they have left and put it towards giving us another season of Stargate Atlantis. :@
I've managed to avoid it for this long but it looks like I'm finally going to have to bite the bullet and install it when left4dead comes out.
There's just so many huge games scheduled to come out in what's left of 2008 that I find my self forgetting about great games like Wipeout HD!
It's pretty crazy if you stop and think about it.
A few of those games have to flop right? I mean they can't all be as good as they look can they?
Statistically the odds are against all of them being great but it has to be said that these next three months are probably the biggest that the world of video games has...
They are saying that digital downloads will not replace physical media, but rather coexist along side it.
And if DD does eventually replace physical media, it definitely isn't going to be in the next FOUR YEARS.
When I go to the video store down the road I usually rent out about six movies at a time.
If we're talking HD quality Blu-Ray movies that equates to about 240gb worth in total.
So I'd need a hdd with 240gb free space. I don't think that's asking too much since 1tb hhd's are already quite affordable and it's only 2008. As a matter of fact I actually have four of them running in this very computer at this very moment.
The 240gb would have to download in ar...
Games I plan on buying in the next three months:
Fallout 3 (PC)
Bioshock (PS3)
Wipeout HD (PSN)
left4dead (PC)
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift (PS3)
Resistance 2 (PS3)
Dead Space (PS3)
Farcry 2 (PC)
LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
Call of Duty: World at War (PC)
Total: estimated $725 - $800 AUD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are they saying that R2 ALREADY has split-screen online co-op, but the second person just doesn't get experience?
I'm talking about two people playing split-screen on one console, online, with other online players. Can anyone in the beta confirm this?
