Perhaps it's not for everyone.
I love it, one of the best story based games I've ever played and, I'd also go as far to say, it's the first evolutionary step in gaming that I've experienced so far this gen.
"MS' new strategy seems to be to slash and burn all barriers to entry. Get everybody onto their latest platform, and then make bank in software and services."
That's generally always been the strategy of console makers, nothing new with that approach.
"Not a discussion I even remotely care to have."
You can't have a discussion, even if you wanted to, you're out of bubbles.
I think it's more a case of that's what you get when a manufacturer learns from it's mistakes.
I really want this game to be good.
I am not familiar with any of the sites that have provided reviews so far. As far as I'm concerned, they don't count.
It is true... most people play FIFA.
@donthate
"What MS started with this generation though, was just far more devastating to MS than it ever was for Sony."
What makes you think that?
The sales stats suggest that Sonys arrogance at the PS3 reveals, the delays and high launch prices were far more "devastating" to them than "what ms started with this gen".
"MS is still hurting until this day for that, but the remarkable turn around is far...
I always play the single player on those games, in fact I bought COD AW a couple of weeks ago and ive played through the campaign but haven't touched the MP yet.
I have always wondered why the SP doesn't concentrate on training you up for MP. Surely that could lead to more advanced types of MP modes where players know their roles and play as a team, instead of what happens in most MP shooters where the majority of players just run and gun, whilst trying to maintain a ...
"Simple as that there is no inbetween the lines"
Ahhh, ignorance is bliss... There's always something between the lines.
It's just PR bullcrap, learn to read between the lines buddy.
I think you give the xbox brand too much credit.
The Xbox One was always going to struggle to keep up with the PS4. Releasing at the same time and at similar prices.
The main reason the 360 had so much success was due to Sonys missteps with the PS3's launch - delays, high price.
Microsofts blunders probably helped boost PS4's sales to some extent but nowhere near to the extent you seem to be suggesting.
And that's a heck of a big crowd.
More like call of duty is the FPS version of FIFA.
Best not to think about it because if we were all to over think this kind of thing, we'd all hate ourselves.
I've never dedicated that amount of time to one game, but I probably spend similar to that amount of time playing games per year.
Apparently it takes, on average, around 900 hours of learning a foreign language to become fluent.

A game getting praise doesn't automatically = popular.
Alot of good games pass alot of gamers by, a good game still needs exposure and ps plus has played a big role in exposing this game to alot of gamers that wouldn't normally have bothered with it.
Nobody is saying this game is getting so much praise because of Sony but there's a strong argument to suggest it's popularity has alot to do with ps plus. Is that what...
"What about this particular game's popularity is thanks to Sony"
My guess would be the amount of people it was made available to as a free download.
I would not have paid £11.99 for the game if I saw it on the store. As a PS plus subscriber I thought I'd give it a go, as it's free.
Now I'm playing it (and loving it) I absolutely know it's worth £11.99. I have also recommended it to every gamer I know....

"Do the maths my friend, its not that hard"
Although you seem to be struggling a bit.
"Go ahead and look it up"
You honestly think most people here haven't? You need to post evidence when you quote numbers otherwise you're just making them up.
Now where did you look this up?
Awwww, you're out of bubbles, there's a surprise.
@xblskull
You went into it expecting it to be the greatest game ever and you were disappointed?
Ofcourse you were disappointed, you EXPECTED it to be the GOAT! Nothing can live up to that.
I remember being similarly dissapointed of Citizen Kane, although I was 12 at the time.
Thank you Lemoncake. I was starting to consider that after I submitted the above comment.
Does anyone have any idea what the PSN upload speeds are? or whether they are capped?
I know for a fact they at least match or outpace my download speeds but that wouldn't be hard.
"A 2GB update can take 4 to 12 hours for me to download" - That's crazy, there has to be something else going on there though, surely?
I'll generally down...
That is a sensible solution but my PS3 is packed away in a box upstairs, I like to keep my TV cabinet in my Living Room tidy with just my one console of choice alongside my sky box and Blu-ray player.
I don't understand why it is not possible to download video content to the PS4 when it was possible on PS3 (especially purchased content).
I rent movies quite regularly and it hasn't been an issue so far because we generally browse the store, rent the mo...

"What about a perfect 10, is that click bait?"
No. I don't know about you, but I don't tend to click on the perfect 10 reviews.
It's like Amazon or Trip Advisor etc, I always bypass all the perfect scores and go straight to the worst reviews to see if the complaints sound justfied.
