Rented and played this game last night and there is no way it is a 9/10 game. I would have been gutted if I had bought it.
As a retail game originally priced at £29.99 it is a 4 or 5/10, If it was a download only game for under a tenner it would be a 7/10 game at best.

The best game on each of those titles was the bowling IMO. I don't see how kinect sports bowling is "far better" than wii sports bowling. If anything they are as good as each other, though, I prefer Wii bowling.

Sports games? Surely you mean dance games.
There may be a few sports mini games that Kinect is better suited for, but it's certainly not better suited for sports games in general. Move and Wii-mote are better for racket sports, golf, fighting/ combat sports, football (pro evo on wii), bowling, racing, archery etc.
What sports games were you thinking of? I can't actually think of any that Kinect is better suited for.

The article and comments are about successfully implementing Kinect into core games not whether or not Kinect can be fun.
I've had some fun in the past with Kinect Sports and Dance Central but they are party games, I would not of had as much fun if I had played them on my own... whilst sober!

Who cares? I hate the idea of constantly having to categorise or pigeon hole something. We know what kind of game to expect because we played and loved Arkham Asylum, so who gives a crap if it doesn't quite fall into the sandbox category?
I visit this site fairly regularly and I don't see what you seem to see. What confuses me with the agree/ disagree/ bubble system is when someones comment has a whole load of disagrees, a couple of agrees yet a 'well said' or 'intelligent' bubble. Aren't the bubbles based on votes? If so, why do people seem to vote for a +bubble yet don't tick agree?
Yet Lugia4000 has 16 agrees after 58m and you have 11 agrees after 31m.

This is IGNs review and that is what people see when they look at the scores. Alot of people hold IGN in high regards (why? I don't know) and when they see that the PS3 version is a 6.5 compared to 360s 8.5 they will automatically assume the PS3 version is inferior because IGN said so.

I had no intentions of buying this game again but I'm really struggling to understand why they didn't use the Move.
I played RE4 on Wii and because of the wii's controls I enjoyed it even more than I did when I played it on the PS2. RE5 is also a far better game when played with Move as opposed to the Dualshock.
Perhaps Capcom are saving Move controls for RE4 HD Gold Edition, so they can attempt to charge us yet again.
I have fun when I'm entertained, immersed and challenged ;)

I haven't tried the sharpshooter on R3 yet but I can imagine the aiming down the scopes/ iron sights will not work well. Both options should be available.
The zoomed scope in R3 is different to KZ3. In KZ3 the deadzone is increased to full screen size when you aim with scope in R3 the reticule is fixed and there is no deadzone, that's why it is significantly slower when you aim with scope, if it stayed the same speed you would become too easily disorientated. You're not a gamer if you don't know at least some of these characters. I'd say the average gamer would struggle to identify all of them but surely anybody who regards themselves a gamer can identify at least a few as it does a pretty good job of showcasing characters from some of the most popular games available on PS3.
