Most media outlets and youtube channels covering stadia said before hand that google has a bad track record of releasing things and then either being slow to update them or just straight up cancel them.

Not too surprising. If anyone is feeling investigative, you can look up achievements for games and see that there is a rather large majority of people who never finish games and just play them a bit for some casual enjoyment then drop them.

The shield does say it ships to Australia but I'm guessing you would need to buy an international adapter for the plug, so keep that in mind.
Some items do but not all. I often get things from Amazon America along with Amazon Australia. When shopping on the American site when you look at the item it tells you next to the buy button if it ships international or not.
I have the "no time for that" from a lot of people who are just either poor at time management or just have different primary interests. I know a few of those people who say they don't have time for things but also spend about 3 hours a night watching reruns of tv shows or just floating around the house then tell people they don't have time.

I've done this before along with steam achievements. I think it's more so attention spans or people just moving on and not so much a matter of time. This. Kojima games have always had real world products in them, from compression packs, cup noodles, Sony ericsson phones and heaps more. I always found them a bit quirky and some funny but advertising an actual tv show is a bit much. I wounder if they will patch it out to something else in the future that might stand the test of time a bit longer. Would be a bit strange people getting around to playing this on sale in a few years and have an advert for a show that might be finished.
