Nice extra info, thank you. Now the question is, does she truly not see a problem or is she just upset for getting caught?
The original article was well written and far from a slander piece. The lady who asked for her name removed either is upset she was caught red handed or has such thin skin she shouldn't be called a journalist.
I'm not crazy about 95% of FPS because they all do the same thing. However, I don't hate them since I know a lot of people only play FPS and get a great deal of enjoyment out of them. My only problem with them (or maybe shooters in general) is that the breadth/range of games has decreased to make room for it. Now granted, this could be a faze like the anthropomorphic platformer craze of the 90's, but I often feel like instead of using the gameplay type as a mode of delivery for...
I've never played EQ. However, I am impressed with what the developers are saying about changing things up. While it is a risk, no MMO can survive alongside WOW if all they do is copy WOW *cough SWTOR cough.* Maybe it won't make a difference, but at least it sounds like they are making an attempt that wall versus putting something out that's destined to die... like the Elder Scrolls MMO.
I find it interesting how the same people who were ready to tar and feather Bioware for DA2 and ME3 are now already looking forward (or at least into) DA3 instead of being done with the studio and ignoring that it exists.
That said, I really hope the game turns out well for those excited about it.
You read what I wrote or just have no tolerance for a different opinion? I didn't say it was a bad game. I said it lacked polish and was stupid in terms of the plot's poor execution and over use of action tropes. If the series wants to go more action heavy that's fine, I just want it done well so that I can appreciate the story and not be scratching my head wondering how I can hurt/kill a monster with my fists that a mountain tunneling drill could not.
The only thing to say is wait and see. Whether Nintendo is saved or damned by the WiiU will depend on the games. If all we get is another generation of gimmic laden ports and party games only speckled with the best of the best, they will do poorly. If they realize there has to be more than two good games a year for a console, they will do fine. It doesn't matter where these games come from (1st or 3rd). It only matters that they are there.
And Zelda, please make Sk...
I did play the first ten minutes of the Gamecube re-make. Scary as all get out. And no, I don't have strong feeling about it. I just get ranting sometimes. I don't think it is a bad game and would make a great rental for some laughs. It's just really stupid even for a popcorn flick.
I don't think RE6 is as bad as many made it out to be... from a gameplay perspective. Yes, the poor Uncharted copycat moments, bad camera and many other little things lack the level of detail and polish of RE4, but it is still playable and enjoyable most of the time. Of course, as my brother said, when the Gears of War/COD ripoff campaign is the smoothest and best of four there is a problem.
The major issue with the game is how stupid it is. What should have been a...
If there is any truth to them leaving, no, that is not what fans should have wanted. However, I can't help but feel Bioware's decisions over the past few years have come down more from EA than Bioware's founders. We will never know unless we can speak to them in person someday, but I for one think they just jumped from a sinking ship before they ended up hating everything they had worked toward. Better to quit and maintain good memories, than stay and have your past tarnished. ...
Great article. It did bring up some points that made me reconsider some of my critisisms of Nintendo. That said, there must be experiences available that make the console worth purchasing. While quality has rarely been an issue for Nintendo games, quantity has and remains a real issue. 3rd parties should fill in the gaps, but so far, that is few and far between. There are things I've seen that make the WiiU look fun, but not enough when placed up against the price tag.

If their vision was genuine certainly, they have that right. However, the overall feeling I got from it was more a matter that they lacked the time to implement your choices. They rushed the game out instead of giving it another year to fully flush out the game so that it DID take into account your choices. Even if the ending turned into something similar, no one could argue that it robbed them of everything the series was built upon.
While fans could use a certain degree of restraint and respect in their protests, I agree with the article that fans are not the problem.
Honestly, this entire situation echoes what happened with Rare and their acquisition by Microsoft. They go with a bigger publisher, find out it compromises the work environment and game quality, and the talent bales; leaving things in the hands of corporate lapdogs or the "artistically driven" (i.e. Casey Hudson).

Great ideas, would love to see some more 3d pokemon games like stadium along with snap.
Translation: We didn't make any money trying to cater to the casual market, so you fans mind taking us back?
This was actually a very nice article with some good points about being grateful for being witness to a very young industry.
While I have over the past few years come to question Miyamoto's capability and vision given his more recent choices in games, and I fear his involvement is more of a hinderance to Nintendo's young blood, he is still one of the greatest - if not the greatest - creators in ANY form of media. And we should be thankful for that.
Great article with an excellent tone that stayed pointed but didn't devolve into fanboyish crying.
I myself am still wary about the WiiU. Yes, it does look like a step in the right direction, but so did the first 2-3 years of the Wii. I think a lot of the negative reaction is honestly just fans who have been burned repeatedly and are not willing to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt... yet. This conference was really the first real attempt by Nintendo (after two E3 failu...
I'd love for this game to get the recognition is deserves (assuming it's as good as the first one). Regardless, my brother and I loved the first one, partially since it remains one of the few cooperative co-op games that don't require an additional system, and this is our major pick for the year.
Sucks that we have to wait until Christmas so we actually will have the time to play it.
Oh good, another on rails chronicles game and non-updated RE ports.
As Grimm mentioned, Tatsunoko vs Capcom 2 would be pretty sweet though.
I always have a knee-jerk reaction to call Nintendo liars when I hear how many "years" it took to develop this game or that game. They said Skyward Sword took 5 plus years, but considering the final product, it felt like a rushed 2 years for the game in its entirety. Granted, the development of certain concepts/elements can take that long as Nintendo does continue to find ways to bring forward innovation. The sword play in Skyward Sword was mostly great and an example of time spen...
