I can understand wanting to have the video embedded here instead of on Negative Gamer. My original submission linked to NG because on that article I linked to all the other articles in question and there were a few very interesting comments. There were also links to other things people might find interesting.

Joystiq is hardly a small blog that would crumble under the traffic. I agree linking to any old small Word-Press, shared hosted blog would likely destroy it, but they could check. Back linking also doesn;t generate _that_ much of a traffic spike.
Negative Gamer for one could cope with the traffic easily, even though it's a relatively small blog. Media Temple grid hosting ftw.
Something a few people seem to be questioning; I'm not saying IGN isn't big, or doesn't have a place (a lot of people like their style of news and such) . I also don't expect my "rant" to even be noticed by IGN.
