With hype or no hype, they are both great games.
That comment was aimed at fanboys :-P People like yourself with both consoles are cool because you aren't likely to make stupid comments about either platform.
I wonder which one PS3 owners are choosing and which on 360 owners are choosing? Hmmmm, let me think. Can anyone else say pointless article?
I actually like the realism of the driving in the game and the fact that all the vehicles handle differently. It actually makes you select different vehicles for what you are doing. When i started the game i was slightly put off by the driving but an hour of practice solved that :-)
I see people talking about quiting the game on the PS3, so i have a question. This is a bit off topic but is there actually a "Quit Game" option on the 360 version? I haven't seen one yet, definitely not in the New, Load, Autosave section anyways. After saving i just pause the game and turn my system off. Is the quit in the cell phone or something because it seems strange not to have one :-S
I think the blu-ray player in the PS3 is a huge bonus for people that bought it as a games console. I am sure the majority of PS3 owners wouldn't have bought a stand alone blu-ray player if the PS3 had been just DVD. The majority of the blu-ray player install base is because gamers got the bonus of a drive that can play blu-ray movies and of course they will use it but not to the extent of a stand alone. How many PS3 gamers own 50+ blu-ray movies, i wouldn't imagine a huge percentage do?
Cool, thanks for the info dude. I guess something else is wrong then.
Defective discs are most likely the cause, just think how many they are producing! Does the 3% for electronics apply to discs too?
Just don't charge to much for it, then i will be happy. I got a free month of live with my GTA, that is like $4 in my pocket :-P Did all copies come with a free month?
No need for conspiracy theories guys. There are probably just some discs that are wonky. Haven't you guys ever bought a movie and the audio and video was off? As someone else said, with a game this complex there are bound to be some issues. I am going to give my GTA a spin in a few minutes here.
I like the little comments about color difference. If it is such a big deal does that mean if you own an LCD with a 72% color gamut then you should go out and buy an LCD with a 92% or higher color gamut? I have one with a 92% color gamut so does that mean my experience is going to be way better than other people? I think not. Same thing with the 360 and PS3 versions, not much difference if any.
Lots of you guys are grabbing at the smallest stupid crap to try and make the version for...
The only difference i see between those two is one that can be changed by playing with those little controls on your tv called contrast, brightness, etc, you get the point (the reviewer even said this, i just finished watching :-P). Both look great!
Whoever said it above, want to whine one more time about the insignificant $50 a year for a great service, just one more time please because i don't think i have heard it enough yet. If you don't want it, don't buy it, and don't whine like...
Sony already said they want to keep the price of blu-ray high, so i am not surprised by this news.
Should any game really be given a perfect score? There is always going to be something that could be improved. I like the way cnet reviews electronics. Nothing is perfect!
Party at Gamestop if you like to party with a bunch of greasy nerds!
Do you think that everyone on this site that gets wrapped up in all the little details and textures actually owns a sweet HDTV that doesn't introduce problems itself? Or better yet, how many people on this site say how great HD gaming is and don't own an HDTV? What do you guys think?
Plus if the install makes it run better then just install it on the 360 hard drive. If you really care about the little differences between the versions then you aren't going to own a 360 without a hard drive.
People are getting hung up on tiny little differences. For most people their tv will causes more visual differences than the different versions of the game will. Buy it and enjoy it!
I would imagine the chances would be the same as meeting a bungie guy in halo 3. Happens more than you would think.
Just clean them. I use rubbing alcohol on my 360 controllers every so often and the keyboard gets dismantled once in a while.
