Why do you think this? There was a rich backstory and game-universe in Halo. You dont need a "magic" element to have a MMO.
I think this is great news. You can specialize in different gameplay types, perhaps operate an military-industrial economy, trade... who knows.
It doesnt take much imagination to see a great Halo MMO, with Peter Jackson involved...

You'd look forward to Lost Odyssey, VP: Party Animals, Banjoo, Scene It? and all the rest of the non-FPS shooters.

America is the largest market. The Xbox 360 is selling 5:1 here.
Japan is second. The PS3 is selling 3:1 here -- but BOTH are selling at fractions of America.
EU is third. The Xbox 360 is outselling the PS3 here.
In short, the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 by a large margin during the entire life of the PS3's availability, this says nothing of the Xbox 360 sales that came during the PS3 launch delay.

What i fyou ONLY want it for Windows Media Center? Have you seen the price of the other WMC Extenders on the market?
For $250, the Arcade is worth the price if you just want Windows Media Center on a TV somewhere in the house.
I agree, but for some people -- the CHOICE is good. I would recommend the Elite myself (I fancy the black for the entertainment center).

No they dont need a price drop. They've already got the best price points on offer.
Sony is the one needing to slash prices. If MS feels the pinch, they have every ability to lower their prices, I dont think they are under _any_ pressure to do so.
They are the market leader (wii is in a different market as far as the industry is concerned).
