If by "ok" you mean "great", and by "should" you mean "will", then uhm, yeah, you're right.
What are you talking about "so many issues so often"? There was limited trouble at Xmass. Now a slow-down on Marketplace.
There are more Xbox LIVE subscribers than their are PS3s practically, lets see if Sony can manage a service that does as much as LIVE.
@8.2 The system doenst have lag, and I have *NEVER* (even during these two periods) seen a problem. Never.
Even the headline is wrong.
There was never anything wrong with Live, the problem was with super slow and time-outs on the purchasing in Marketplace.
Not "Xbox LIVE melts".
This game is totally, 100% impressive.
The first MMOFPS for consoles. Who gives a flying f what the three of you think about graphics?
Even if the graphics sucked (They Dont in any way), the GAMEPLAY and gameplay experience is what matters.
PC Gaming looks better than gaming on Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii. No doubt about it. Better framerates, better graphics, better physics.
In August of 2005, an nVidia spokesperson was quoted in PlayStation Magazine as saying "the RSX GPU is basically a slightly less powerful GeForce 7800"

Amen n4user, bubbles for you.
I might just steal that line "I want NEW GAMES, not just better X,Y,Z" where X,Y,Z is whatever nit-picking nonsense the SDF tries to use to undermine anything & everything Xbox 360.
This game is going to be a huge hit. No doubt about it. Utterly new gameplay and clear innovation. Epic battles.
No doubt, must-have game.
XNA. XNA Community. Halo 3's Forge. Foraz 2 ( http://www.forzamotorsport....
You're characterization of Microsoft's relationship to User Generated Content is vastly inaccurate.
UT3 is the _only_ avenue for UGC on PS3.
Please dont be so darn foolish.
"If you're buying UT3 for the mods... Microsoft's Live policy's going to prevent mods from seeing the light of day on 360, unfortunately. "
And you know this _how_? You know what MSFT's contracts with Publishers/Developers are?
Please stop talking out your arse.
Closed Network? What? Ever heard of XNA?
@1.1
Perhaps they can use XNA Community to distrubute mods.
The community could manage them, and they wouldnt need an extra "distribution method".
Nice and easy.

Windows 6 (Vista and Server 2008) is to Windows XP (5) as XP (5) is to Windows 95 (4).
Time to abandon the FUD fight kids, you've lost. Vista is the world's second most used OS. More than *BSD (OSX, Net, Free) and GNU/Linux COMBINED.
Vista is a massive engineering undertaking, not just a UI change.
Unless you three know WTF you're talking about (work in IT and/or have a CompSci degree), you should spare us your ...
Nothing will come out of it.
The original nonsense will join amunition of the anti-MSFT FUD peddlers. And, like all the other nonsense that they spread, people who know better will continue to roll their eyes.
For those who dont know what's going on in that picture, its a laptop with a Windows Vista SideShow device integrated into the top.

The future is Internet Connected gaming. No doubt at all. So many games are going to be built around their online components (say, Forza 2 or Halo 3 for instance).
What happens when some bean counter decides to shut down your game?
Its pretty shifty frankly.
@2.l
Sony hasnt said how many people played all these games -- you're wrong if you think that it is ZERO.
How do you know? You dont.
Right. Because Sony has one Data Center for the whole planet. And that Data Center only has game servers in it...
Look at all the apologists. What about the PS2 and PSP gamers who own THOSE games that Sony just killed?
Amazing. The Xbox has nothing to do with this, except to say that the Multiplayer for all Xbox games is still going strong.
It absolutely blows my mind that you lot are here to apolgoize for Sony now. There are people who play these games, and these games are sitting in libraries of people, but sony just stole your value by killing the multi-player.
Well, it did win multiple Game of the Year awards... I wouldnt expect *everyone* to love it, but we can be positively sure that the next game will do very well, and many people are truely looking forward to it.
Day one purchase for me.

You can buy a wireless bridge for entertainment-center for less than $20.00... here ya go:

That said, who on earth would want to increase their latency with wireless gaming? Thank God my house has ethernet networking.
