Half of the traffic on the internet is P2P Music, TV and Movie traffic *today*.
Anyone who thinks that we're not ready for Digital Download is kidding themselves. I've long since stopped buying plastic discs, I get everything I want on the net.
The MPAA and RIAA are going to do everything they can to monetize that traffic. The reason people do this isnt because they dont want to spend $2 or $3, its because it is vast...

I've used FreeBSD and GNU/Linux for nearly 10 years professionally. It is a fine and cheap alternative to enterprise UNIX, and that is where it will do fine (discrete single-purpose processes), but as an integrated, multi-purpose desktop? OSX doesnt hold a candle to XP and certainly not to Vista.
