Right. Who are these "most" people you talk about? You certainly dont mean developers, because they are using Unreal Engine all over the place, in numerous genres, and there are many UE games coming.
And, you cant mean "most" if you mean Gamers, because Gears of War was a massive hit, and UT is too, and there are many many very well regarded UE games.

Fable has a very respectable 8.5/10 on metacritic, and has sold somewhere near 3 Million copies.

They are at a Game DEVELOPERS Conference. There is going to be much talk about XNA and XBLA.
Small teams, quick releases, smaller budgets -- tie it together with the natural fit with the casual gaming space and voila: instant gamer gold.

Half of internet traffic is *already* P2P media distribution traffic. The MPAA and RIAA are going to try and monetize all that traffic, and the winner will be the user: Less expensive (it is competing with Free after all), more convenient, longer-life and on and on.
