Yeah, I really hope that they don't go for parity between the X1 & PS4. I hope they push for the best textures & frame-rate on the X1.
They have no choice but to push for the highest possible resolution on the PS4, otherwise there will be rioting in the streets.

The nice thing about the X1 is that I can do other things while I wait for the game install, which really doesn't take that long TBH.
I can switch to TV, I can watch YouTube or use other apps, I can chat with friends, I can browse the web....
Then a small window pops up on the screen telling me my game is ready. "Great, time to play."

The author says there are only stereo headset options for the Xbox One currently, that is not correct. Astro & Turtle Beach both have new & old headsets that enable surround sound via optical connection to the Xbox One.
Forget about resolution, the game-play & graphics look terrible. Seriously, this is a new engine? They should have just bought an Unreal Engine license and used that.

The key question is; How many of those sales are satisfied customers? Judging by reviews and comments from players on gaming forums, there's a lot of upset people.
Drive-club probably had one of the worst launches in gaming history, it still doesn't work 100%, no PS+ version, horrible reviews, but it sold 1-million copies the first week so it's a success?
Drive-club is a disaster, and everyone in the gaming world knows it.
Update; Sony was hacking into MS Azure network to try to use some of the servers for Drive-Club. MS has found the source of the breach and is currently working on disabling Sony's connection and rebooting the friends list.
The article that should be on the front page here on N4g is the Digital Foundry interview with the Forza Horizon-2 developers. It's a lot more interesting than this one, and it has some interesting insight into the X1.

People are saying that MS has a marketing deal with "The Witcher", and that's the reason for parity.
Sony had a marketing deal with "Destiny", and a pretty dam good one at that. I mean Bungie could barely even acknowledge that Destiny was going to be on the X1, and Sony promoted it like it was an exclusive. ...

Nobody wants to talk about an Xbox game that runs at 1080p. At least people who don't own an Xbox One that is. If it's not resolution war worthy, then it's not worth talking about.
Yeah...it's pretty hilarious...I love all the people in here saying how they can see a difference, and the PS4 version is better...LOL
It's also hilarious that now we know the X1 runs at native 1080p and the videos show virtually zero difference between the the two consoles, this article isn't even on the first page...LOL
