Like it or not, Angry Joe tells it like it is. He is an equal opportunity reviewer, no matter the platform.
Fable Legends is confirmed DX12. Forza-6 + Halo-5 + Gears, will all most certainly be DX12. There is also a very good chance that The Division will be converted to DX12 before release.
Unreal Engine, Cry-Engine, and Unity, already confirmed to be adopting DX12.
MS also has a booth at GDC this week, where a developer can bring their game, and MS engineers will convert it to DX12. MS says, in most cases, it can be done in minutes!
XB1 was desig...
AF & AA are both important, no matter the resolution. Your statement about needing less AA because of higher res, is completely false.
It will be interesting to see the levels of AF & MSAA that each version of the game has.
Just because the resolution is 1080p doesn't mean it's the best version.
A lot of games on the PS4 have little to no AF (Anisotropic Filtering), but that's OK if it's 1080p...right?
Umm...well Bethesda is hosting its first ever E3 event this year, so yeah, there's a good chance we could get some Fallout news announced at E3.
Way to go Shinobi, thanks for pointing out the obvious! You're one Hell of an insider!
Tidux is a fraud. He's been wrong about 95% of the things he's supposedly leaked. He was even banned from SonyGaf...oops!...I mean neogaf, which is saying something when they ban someone who typically talks down on Xbox.
You know, if you follow the gaming business closely, it's not that hard to pretend to be an insider. You just look at the obvious, and announce it before it's officially announced.
Here, I'll give you some insider info rig...
Tears & damage control...is what's going to happen. Won't have to wait long either. Only 5 days til' GDC.
The problem is the PS4 does not handle AF well. Most PS4 games have very little AF or none at all. In this particular case Capcom applied 16x AF to both the PS4 & XB1 versions and you see the result.
Is it an issue with the SDK? Maybe. Is it an issue with the CPU? Maybe. Either way, where's the glorious ICE TEAM? This AF issue with the PS4 is a big problem. They need to figure it out.
When I can use my screen-shots as background wallpaper (like I can with the my XB1) then I give a crap about it.
So...somehow taking a screen-shot via the png format vs. jpeg is going to tax the XB1 hardware and affect frame-rate & resolution of the game.
ROTFL...No just no.
The Order 1886 is exactly what N4G needed.
The Order 1886 doesn't need Xbox fans to put it down, there are plenty of PS4 players who are unhappy with The Order.
If The Order flops, the only ones to blame will be the developers and PS4 fans, who have been touting The Order as the game that would raise the bar for all others to try to reach.
In the end, it will be the developer who created a 5-hour game with no replay value and the PS4 players who will rent rather than buy, or just skip The Order a...
First of all, I don't think you need to be an "Insider" to make the claim that Tidux made. I mean with the trend we've seen so far this generation, I don't think it was too much of a stretch to make that call.
Secondly, Tidux was banned from everyone's favorite Sony propaganda site "NeoGaf" for spreading false information, so take that for what it's worth.
My guess is that The Division will be 1080p on PS4 & 900p on...
You know it's funny how people keep hanging-on to the spec-sheets that were released with the PS4 & Xb1. They keep hanging-on to "Dat 50% more power".
You people realize that the PS4 was built with off-the-shelf parts right? I mean it's a fact, it's not fiction, the PS4 does not have any custom hardware.
Now you should also know by now that the XB1 was built entirely of custom hardware. This is also a fact and has been reiterated tim...
Let's just clarify a few things for the folks who didn't bother to listen to the interview with Mr. Wardell.
Wardell stated that the DX12 benchmark tests performed by AnandTech show a 300% to 600% boost in performance depending on the card your using. The X1's CPU would be in the %300-%400 range.
He also stated that the resolution difference we've seen thus far with 3rd party games is solely because it requires extra work on the X1, outside of...
Good idea for Sony to build some hype before March.
Well...since you mentioned XB1, resolution and the like...Unreal Engine 4 has adopted DX12...just sayin'
I love how people keep calling the Halo MCC a pile of crap. The funny thing is, most of these people are PS4 fanboys who don't own an X1.
Certainly there are X1 owners who purchased the MCC purely for multi-player who are upset, and in that regard, I can't argue with them.
However, I purchased the MCC solely for the purpose of playing the campaigns, as I had never played any of them before (believe it or not) and I have been thrilled with the game. ...
Too much good Xbox news!
Get ready for the ICE TEAM to spew some BS PR statement about how they've got an API in the works that is better than DX12.
In other news...Sony is ready to release another "Stability Update".
Yeah, GDC started today, however, we probably won't get the most juicy Xbox related news until Wednesday 3/4. That's when Phil Spencer is scheduled to hold a GDC conference.
