That's not a bad name.
I vote for Xbox Station
It was also in Halo 2 back in 2004 >_>
EDIT: I love how people are getting excited for features that have been in games since the last half decade. Truly shows how moving backwards is now the new moving-forwards in gaming.
ROFL....yeah okay.
The name fits, though...The Loopy really was a loopy design.
Wow, so they added stuff already available FOR FREE in AVA and Combat Arms?
Yeah except you have to pay $60 for it? Eh, no thanks.
I'm sure fans who have never played another FPS out there (or any recent FPS games, free-to-play games, Battlefield games or Operation Flashpoint games) will probably really enjoy MW3, though.
The prob with Operation Flashpoint is that compared to BF3 it's just lacking in graphics, destruction and atmosphere.
Even if you're not a graphics whore, BF3's atmosphere is really intense.
I agree about the emotional cinematic part...just judging by the trailers alone you wouldn't know that BF3 had 64+ players, full scale destructible environments, multiple vehicles and physics-based animations and weapons.
The story also looks a little more contained in BF3 than MW3, which seems to showcase a more worldwide struggle and that so much more is at stake.
In terms of the quality of the trailer, the MW3 trailer looked old and was kind of boring...
Dude there are a number of places that sell PCs/laptops online for cheap. It doesn't matter how or where you get them just as long as there's an option to return it and it works.
And the card that came with the $200 machine was an Nvidia 7800 GS (because those cards are known for dying) so it was dirt cheap. Ran well for a while though.
I got an old 22 inch monitor for $45 and the machine itself for around $300. I could have spared the $45 and just ...
@ATi_Elite
Agreed. I thought things were also decent during the PS2/Xbox era because Xbox Live wasn't really required to get the most out of the games.
But nowawadays a lot of games ship broken (i.e,. Black Ops) and you need to update the game (on console) in order to get it to run right. I expect that from PC but not from consoles.
Actually, I did buy a PC for $200 that could play games on medium settings. I later got a PC for $300 that play games on their highest settings (Just Cause 2 maxed settings 52fps ftw).
I don't know where you get the $2k price tag from though.
Red Orchestra,
Operation Flashpoint,
Brothers in Arms,
Crysis 2,
Resistance,
Brink,
Modern Warfare 1, 2,
Black Ops,
and Battlefield 2, 2142, 1942, etc.,
I listed them for Quagmire. I hope that counts. And I don't know if those are the games he played but those games have now worn me out on military FPS games.
I'd like to know why people disagreed. Honestly.
You have to pay for an extra hard drive if you don't have one, or one with enough room for an (INSTALL?!?!) in order to play the game the way it was meant to be played.
I remember with the PSX and N64 you just needed a controller and a memory card.
Those games are big but not WoW or CoD big. And when will the next Starcraft game come out? Or is there one in the works?
"The only way this'll ever change is when customers stop buying CoD and start buying other games. Although, I'll warn you right now, if everyone goes and buy BF or JoB, you'll quickly see EA become the new Activision (which I guess would mean the old EA)."
Yeah I agree.
It's just so sad because it's not about the games anymore. I hate when I see gamers say that "Aren't we just supposed to have fun? Isn't it all about...
Dead Space sold sell, Mirror's Edge is getting a sequel, L.A. Noire sold well and a few other newcomers.
I think a lot of it boils down to how these new IPs are promoted. Activision definitely has the funds but how much do they promote other games that aren't CoD or WoW?
The problem is that investors don't know what Bungie is doing because the public doesn't know. So as far as they're concerned Acti still doesn't have anything.
There is Diablo 3, but that's PC only and DRM-laden.
Please, Please, PLEASE DON'T SUCK!
Assassin's Creed deserves a good script and excellent production design. I hope this movie becomes a cult classic worth adding to my library and not a disgraceful stinker like that piece of feces known as Max Payne: The Movie.
Yeah because obviously, you can use the PC mods on PS3
/Sarcasm.
Fanboys are the worst kind of trolls. And seirously, the game is only at its full potential with the mods. I refuse to play GTA IV on console and refuse to play it without IceEnhancer...it's just too ugly.
Disagree all you want, but once you get a taste of iCE it's like crack...you don't want nothing else.
WTF are you talking about? Yes there was less to do because they SWITCHED TO A BIGGER ENGINE!
The comparisons are uncanny, any idiot who can't see how the shooting mechanics were actually workable (you couldn't aim right or shoot right in GTA: SA for spit) and the Euphoria engine gave the game an entirely different feel and atmosphere must be blind.
Of course there was a lot to do in GTA: SA because it was the third iteration of that version of the ga...
This game looks so freaking awesome. The cinematics and replay videos are almost enough to sell the game alone.
*Gasp* What is this, an article on N4G about women in games that doesn't include cosplay, bikinis or a top five about derriere's? Blasphemous!
