This is cool. As a PlayStation fan we have to consider that at the end of the day Sony and PlayStation is evolving. And so when a PC gamer boots up Uncharted 4 or Days Gone on their PC they will notice first and foremost that it starts with PlayStation Studios logo. Not Ubisoft not Activision or EA but PlayStation Studios amen that’s brand recognition and profit for Sony. Plus the potential for a performance upgrade for the PS5.

Absolutely. It’s possible to get caught up in all the games that you want to by but you miss out on the diamond in the rough or just simply never got around to a certain game and then all of a sudden it’s free or on an great deal or included with a subscription model. For example I’ve never play FF XV before and despite mixed emotions about it i thought why not give it a shot. Then I go look at the PS Store but ended up finding the Royal Edition Included Free on PS Plus....
As PS guy primarily I really don’t see this as a big deal. I know that’s not a popular opinion. But I’d wager 80% of gamers are not worried worried about this one bit. Maybe if we were still in the PS2/Xbox era but we’re not. These consoles are tethered to network access for these reasons.
I get it. As much as I want to feel excited about GamePass I can’t yet. Right now in only use it for my 12 year old son and that’s mostly so he can squirrel over Sea of Thieves. But I feel that GamePass for Microsoft is nothing more than O365 but for games. And sure it’s simple, it’s digital, it’s easier but it can also be lazier. To be fair though Sony was canceling them before too. I think in the end it’s just too costly when they can just stream some content. Highly cost effective.

Don’t get me wrong I totally get playing on the best hardware but I think what gets some of us to still stick to the console versions is due to our addictive nature to trophies and achievements.

It’s cool. No matter what platform you play on as long as developers are getting paid and paid well to support themselves and their families in support of our luxury of video games. At the end of the day the people who put their hands and minds and hearts to the creation should get well compensated especially if their product is a hit. Plus giving them them as a company the funds to start the next game.

Finally beat this last night. I’m thinking of going back in for more punishment / alternate endings but really want to start playing other games coming out too.
I’ve man honestly going back and Fourth on PS4 and PS5 games. Ghost of Tsushima, then Miles Morales, Nier Automata, Returnal. I think I’ll play the 2016 Ratchet before the new one comes out since it didn’t beat it and it got the 60 FPS patch. After Miles I did touch AC: Valhalla and my initial first 30 minutes to an hour i was not impressed mostly by the combat.
5th Biome is tough. But it’s imperative you use both it and the third to build your character up.
