I've played it early during PS3 times, it was absolutely worth it. I've finished it twice, great gameplay, battles, story.
NA only, or EU as well?
All those remakes and remasters, but still no new Dino Crisis or Parasite Eve /sadpanda
I hope they don't cancel Tales of Arise in favour of... this thing.
I'm quite sceptical ever since the whole cloud powered gaming fiasco this gen.
I really want to play it, but I'm waiting for a release of a complete series with all the episodes. That might take a while.
This could have been an amazing game. Foolish April Fool's day.
So it's being released as B2P? Well, that's ok I guess. Does anyone know if they are still planning on releasing this on consoles?
I've just finished my 4th playthrough and got a platinum. Yes, it's aspiring to be souls-like, but it doesn't really understand what made it Souls' games great.
Souls' games were beautiful, with diverse maps, well thought out design, its own twists and unique environments, you always feel like being on an adventure, exploring something new. CV's maps turn the game into a Corridor Walker in comparison, from point A to point B it's all the same. Ta...
When they've said it took 30 hours to complete the game, did they mean all of it or just the main quest?
I have sensed stability in the force, thus I have arrived.
With the couple gameplay option additions, I'm quite disappointed they haven't added unlimited magic for the junction system. I really hated it how using magic was making you weaker, it's the only thing keeping me away from the remaster.
I'm confused, is this like one of those webbrowser collectible card games?
That's heresy onii-chan!
Maybe in Europe during one of the hearings about loot boxes and gambling. In USA bribes are called donations, they are legal there from what I've heard.
The pitchforks were there because of splitting a whole game into a several episodes for a remake. Not only that, the first episode will include only Midgar, which was just a small part of the entire experience. I don't like being milked on nostalgia.
Indeed. My interest in this remake was very high, until I've heard it would have been episodic in an undescribed nature. If they are planning on splitting the original game to milk it, KKTHXBAIBBQ, see you in 8 years when the whole set is in a discount bin. The fact that they do not want to explain precisely what episodic means for this remake is really worrying.
I really did enjoy FFVIII, completed it couple times actually when I was younger. The only gripe I had with it was the junction system. truly irritating, making you triple guess whether you want to use magic or not.
I'm actually positively impressed that it's already a third patch before the release. Normally when you get all those betas, and all those bugs reported, you can expect that during the official release not a single one would be fixed.
Hack'&'Slashing at a wolf. What happened to AC series?
