Did Square force Platinum to use their outdated engine? I've played the demo, it looked horrible for such a game. It worked in earlier years of FFXIV, but c'mon, not here.
The combat itself also felt quite archaic, there was no charm present in other recent titles. If theyr were to copy paste their combat from Nier in a multiplayer setting it would have been way better than Babylon's Fall.
I'm guessing this game will not gain much success because of a really bad timing. The biggest most marketed releases are coming out now with a big momentum, and Elex will simply be buried over all that. It should have really waited 1-2 months before releasing.
Does anyone know if they tweaked the boss's difficulty from the first beta?
Some great memories there, I've completed the original so many times back on PSX, and would insta-buy it if it was a remake. It does look like a lazy remaster though, with just HD tag on it. I would be impressed if they've actually made it widescreen, but I guess that would require repainting the backgrounds. Verdict: pass.
I was super hyped when I saw the reveal trailer. It started downhill from there, first the potential wokeness, and now microtransactions.
I knew it would end like that the moment they first announced the remake would be split into episodes and decided to wait for the whole trilogy to be released. What I didn't predict was how long it would take between each episode. Part I was released for PS4, part II will be PS5 focused probably, and part III will be released on PS6.
Bungie is a one trick pony, they haven't made anything in recent years outside of Destiny. I don't believe it will be enough to warrant excitement.
And here I thought Sony has finally redemeed itself...
After getting the platinium, I did have some complaints about the pacing of the story. Tales of games have great adventure and discovery elements, but the first part of ToA was too predictable. You know there are 5 regions you'll visit, it was estabilished in the intro, so not much of a surprise element there. They also feel extremely rushed, just breezing through couple maps in each region to fight a boss. I felt like there was a lack of world building there, plenty of missed opportuniti...
Meanwhile I'm still waiting for the promised Playstation release.
VRR. Also Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, at least for Blu ray movies.
I must have missed it earlier, there is modern world aspect to this, is this is not hard-fantasy? That slightly lowers the potential for this game I think, the first announcement a year ago looked the best out of all the games there, with the amazing magic. As long as they don't mess around with it as bad as AC games, we'll see.
I'm more worried with these screenshots, hopefully they are not inserting SJW elements and sacrificing story for it, though I have my d...
Not even gonna bother, mobile only. Such a wasted opportunity to make this great by doing it for consoles. Even if they were to port it, it's value will be greatly diminished by the limitations of designing it for phones.
The only saving grace would be if it had the material from the light novel version, it's years ahead of the anime.
Shame, such good character design wasted on mobiles.
Ghost Rider looks... awkward on those images. Is that a new redesign or something?
I've played too many open world games, and I really wanted to give this a solid chance. After some time it just felt like it followed the formula of Assasssin's Creed games and other similar ones. Simply too many repetitious tasks, empty spaces, unnecessary item gathering.
I'm actually envious that Xbox is getting Chaosbane, I wanted to try it out for some time now. Have fun guys.
It was okayish back in the time. It followed a formula of gameplay from early 2000s, which is outdated by today's standards, I don't predict a good comeback for a remaster.
Isn't Hunter's Arena Legends F2P battle royale on PC? Why add a free game as a PS Plus game?
I've had it bundled with my PS5 since launch, but I've waited for the PS5 upgrade. I've started recently and I'm really enjoying it. There is really only one thing I have a gripe with, and it absolutely kills the immersion - empty streets. Those are wide double lane streets, infrastructure built to fit a massive traffic, but when driving around you pass maybe 1-2 stray cars at a time. Some junctions were literally empty, feeling like a ghost town. I'd understand it if ther...
