Only the character models seem stylized as anime, the town itself could be used in any "realistic" game type. To be fair it works in anime setting as well, it's just that it's not exclusive to "anime" type of game. That movement animation though...
I'm currently somewhere in the middle of FF XVI I think, and so far I'm enjoying it. Problem when comparing the two is there is a lack of bromance in FFXVI and it's less open worldish. In FF XVI the accompanying characters feel more like accessories that don't bring much to your playthrough outside of cut scenes.
I'm confused, is this a remake or a remaster?
I was silently hoping there would be some additional media like they did with FFXV. The demo, anime and movie added quite a bit to the story back then.
All of those are remakes or sequels. And here I am, still waiting for Deep Down.
It's for that online game, correct? I always wanted to see the drows home from Drizzt's books, I've read those years ago, but I never could fully imagine it from text alone. Looks a bit bright compared to what I remember how it was described, but I'm guessing that's for gameplay reasons.
I'm in the minority, where I actually loved the game. The story, characters, narrative, those were the strong points for me. Combat was also enjoyable. Corridor exploration was a major con, but I think the storytelling outweights it.
Great game, I've spent several hours with it, but the save system killed it after a while, I couldn't bring myself to complete it after having to repeat same long sequences without being able to save. If they were to update it on PS to add save-anywhere function than I'd gladly replay it.
The moment I saw the title I thought Sephiroth's Masamune would be there. Instead we got several awkward choices.
The Council was enjoyable if you're into that type of adventure games.
PoE II is great, vastly improved over the original. I've completed it three times, worth playing.
I'm actually impressed that a nearly 20 year old anime is getting another video game. I had positive feelings about the anime back then, but I don't recall the games getting much love.
What killed them was being forced to work using the tools provided by SE. Honestly, their engine is way too updated for current gen. They could have expanded on the world of Nier instead.
For me Fear Effect was about story and the cinematic feel. It can have any type of gameplay it wants as a side dish as long as the main elements are there. Which unfortunately weren't shown in the trailer, which makes me dubious about the quality of the main dish. Let's wait and see future reveals focusing on something else than the combat.
Trivia: In the original Civil War comics, while Tony tried to recruit Dr Strange, he said he was capable of stopping the war with one whisper.
I saw the original and recently the anime version. It did indeed look great, but they cut out too much from the original. The first season was amazing, and they did some questionable changes that made it lose its spirit. It would have been enough to simply make a 1:1 conversion to anime style, or maybe make a "director's cut" to extend the lenght of episodes to the anime lenght standard. Or join 2 episodes into one. But not blend an entire season into barely 1 hour film. If I ha...
FF7 p1 - PS4
FF7 p2 - PS5
FF7 p3 - PS6?
GoW would be an awkward choice, it's already included in the Plus Collection.
Great light novel + amazing anime = mobile trash, as always. So much wasted potential, they could have made it into a customizable sandboxy RPG, and it would have been a great success.
How did they even get that idea. Ever since the initial reveal that FF7 would be split into 3 parts, I told myself to just wait till the trilogy is available and enhanced to make a flowless continuity. Not only are they releasing only 1 part per console generation, they aren't even allowing for smooth progression. It was once a magnificent game with amazing story. Now it's a 1 game split into 3 without much sense...
Just wait till all 3 are released, they might patc...
