Unlike most, I don't have any hype for this game. I fear that it will be mediocre, since deserts are just... bland. From the video I had an impression that it's a Batman reskin with desert theme, plus cars in deserts. Deserts, deserts, deserts everywhere. Pretty much my greatest fear for this game. Then again, deserts were my least liked theme, and a reason why Uncharted 3 was the worst part for me.
To be fair, in the second half of its lifespan, PS3 also had a lot of jrpgs. It's just that there was a demand for other games at the time.
There are two versions of PvP. Duels and invasions. Sure, in invasions you can do whatever you want if you want to ruin someone's game while they adventure. But in duels, when someone wants to specifically 1vs1, potions are generally not welcome.
Ehh, what happened to the good ol'rule where you don't use health potions in duels.
I'm really rooting for a revival of the Valkyrie Profile franchise this gen.
C'mon guys, they've been talking about the power of the cloud for only 2 years so far. Give them at least 8 more years to see any effects it would have on graphics or something, no rush.
Problem is, that there is a limit at how far you can get with textures alone. At one point you will need to improve models, and later lightning as well. If Capcom were to improve such features as well, the difference would be like day and night.
Who even approved of this?
Now, if only it had custom music XD
Just parry him to death, or even easier, stunlock him. A singled out hunter like that is a joke.
I never was a fan though. I played SO on PSX and PS3, and I just never got past the midpoint even. There is a lack of jRPGs though, so I might give it a try if the combat is indeed seamless and less grindy. And by seamless I meant not transitions to a combat area, but fighting where you were (think of FFXII or FFXV).
First season started slow, but had a strong climax. Second season was all time bad. The image showe clothing used in second season, so I'm expecting it to be as bad. Luckily Vita is getting a lot of great games in the revent years, so no loss.
I don't know if it's something new actually. There were many scenarios in the past when a game was posted in the Store Update thread on the blog, with an added date saying it will release at a later date (between the store updates). It's pretty much the same thing now, but without mentioning it in the store update post, isn't it?
Does anyone know if the combat will be real time in the area you were, or will it "transport" you to a combat area like in some lazier jrpgs?
Ehh, currently there is an oversaturation of 2D games trying to be artsy or something, so I kinda lost interest in this.
I actually still remember when all the customizable options, skins, animations, any extras basically, were a part of the main game, since you paid for it once already. I miss those times...
Well, that's awkward. Are you sure that's true, because I thought that Polygon would rather link it to Microsoft to get something extra in the paycheck.
Yeah, I guess?
Fighting genre. To be honest, Saint Seiya was never anything special. I saw the original series aired over a decade ago, and meh. Nowadays I pick couple anime series each season, but I never had interest in SS, same for games. And judging by the very mediocre scores Brave Soldiers received, I wouldn't expect anything good from Soldier's Souls either.
What's the point of it? It would be obvious that Squirrel Girl would single handedly defeat everyone in the first episode, so there would be no point for any other episodes. Unless it would be about Squirrel Girl the Babysitter!
