The judge some of us like to tweak our games and have tons of choice. Some games for pc are just too complicated to do on a console. I wouldn’t suggest just owning a pc for gaming but I also wouldn’t suggest not owning one either as you miss out on some great games. A pc and a 360 are vastly different. The ps3 has more in common with a pc than the 360 does (free online gaming, the option to use a keyboard and mouse for games, a browser and the ability to hook up a printer).
I bought a core back in the day but it was simply because i wanted to save a few bucks. A month later when i was ready to get on live and download stuff i went and bought the hd. I dont see what the big deal is.
You are right, you have the problem of not being able to hook your system up in hd and having to buy a 50 cable if you go the ps3 route.
Yeah it was goofy to do the core sku. You have to buy a memory card right of the bat so the price is more than 300 (plus a game) anyway. It's just a marketing trick like saying the ps3 is 600 (plus a game) yet you cant play it without a the hdmi cable.
The graphics and physics look slick but i am still kinda lost as to what the point of the game is? Does it have levels and an objective? I am not ripping on the game i just honestly dont know.
I dont think its an after thought but i also dont think its very usefull for "gamers" (those of us who care about "games")
PSN vs. live = live all the way. I own both and have tons of first hand knowledge about the subject. My psn tag is V1rusE and my live tag is E virus E so what is your live tag? Yeah i didnt think so.
I think home is kinda overkill. I want function over form personally. I dont want to visit my friends virtual house with my game machine, i want to play games. If i wanted to play second life i would do it on my pc.

I think if more people had your attitude about games the world would be a better place. People just don’t see that being a fanboy is nothing more than insecurity. People should be more open to trying new things and not judging something you have never tried.
Well said install, i think you make some strong points. I am looking forward to lair but i know a lot of people just dont care/are burnt out on fantasy right now.
This is one of the thing that i have been thinking MS has needed to do for a while. I like that i can install games on my ps 3 to help with loading. Anything that came give more performance i am down for.
Maybe this guy smokes and never opens the windows. I work on pcs for a living and i have seen many a dead pc from people who chain smoke or dont dust.

In my opinion they will not come out side by side but it will come to the 360 within the next year. Epic said for a year straight that gears was not coming to pc and yet it’s coming out in Nov. It got leaked via NVIDIA drivers and they denied it. It got leaked via a pic of the box and yet still epic denied it. Being secretive is part of business, sony has paid for it to stay a timed exclusive but they will say exclusive so 360 metal gear fans will buy a ps3 to play it. If konami confirms...
Dude i am not sure why the sony fanboys are so crazy these days. You made valid point yet anyone with a ps3 has to hit disagree. I will be getting it for the ps3 but i also hope it "eventually" comes out for the 360 because its going to be a good game and everyone should get a chance to play it.

All 3 and a pc. Pc isn’t wide spread enough to get some of the games the consoles get and some times its nice to take a game home and just drop it in and play. So few games come out for pc each year, I couldn’t personally own just a pc for gaming since I like play games. I love pc games and I own a monster gaming rig but it only gets used for a few games a year.
Why are all of you guys getting so defensive? Cdzie is 100% on base with his comments. Maybe you guys are too young to remember all of the failed Sony formats; UMD, memory stick, betamax, minidisc and now sacd (i know i am forgetting something).
