Great demo but I hate that lack of camera control. The frame rate could also be a bit higher but they still have 2 months to tweak it out. Definitely a must buy.
I guess i am alone but i dug the trailer. The voice over was amazing and its nice to get to see real game play. I hope this game rocks as much as i want it too. I am so hyped up about it that i broke down and bought halo 2 pc! Its wasnt very fun when playing with the keyboard and mouse but once i switched back over to the 360 pad it was all good.
Darth you are right it is 65nm my mistake. If you do a Google search you will find tons of users in the 3.8, 3.9 ranges with the x6800 when I get mine up to 3.8 this weekend I can send you picks if you like. It isn’t a dream like you so arrogantly suggest. What CPU do you have? Like I said above I am running at 3.6 with out even tweaking the voltage and my heat is still not going above 50c.

The scarb looks way different then it did in halo 2.
I am not surprised but that is just my opinion. I have read a lot of negative feed back about the game and the game isnt selling well in japan. All signs point to a ho-hum game.
I liked the demo but i did have a few gripes. Here is my take on the demo.

The graphics are VERY good and everything had an epic feel to it. The waterfalls in the background look sweet and the lighting was well done.
The HDR is some of the best I have seen. This game looked hot on my 58” 1080p set!

Sak500 I am running the Rosewill RCX-Z775-SL 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler in an antec 900. I had the e6600 (best bang for you buck by a long shot) before i got the x6800 (i got it for 500!!!) last week and i was running it at 3ghz and it didnt even break a sweat. The antec 900 might be a big part of my temps; i have it loaded down with fans and i put a ton of time into getting the proper flow to keep everthing cool.
I am running an x6800 at 3.6 with air cooling and no voltage tweaks so hitting above 4 GHz doesn’t seem very hard to achieve for the core2 series of chips. Hitting 4 GHz with 4 cores will happen by this time next year for sure. The core2 series is currently at 45nm and has plenty of head room. More than a few users have their x6800s and x6850s running at 3.9ghz on air cooling. Articles like this are stupid in my opinion. It is way to early to call. Both the 360 and the ps3 have dozens of amazing games coming out soon. Regardless of who "wins" with so many AAA titles coming out we all win in the end. Competition drives innovation and excellence.
